Evette, from Woolworths.
Didn't Debenhams briefly have their own range a few years ago?

Sweet Georgia Brown

Does Hard Candy still exist?

Fashionesta · 24/11/2021 17:53

I remember sweet Georgia Brown. What products did they do?

Thefartingsofaofdenmarkstreet · 24/11/2021 17:57

Ruby and Millie!

I have the most gorgeous green eyeshadow from them which I have realised is TWENTY years old Shock but I can't bear to throw away as I have never found a green quite like it..

Also loved Spectacular nail polishes - so many colours!

woodhill · 24/11/2021 17:58

Ultima II
Loved it

KirstenBlest · 24/11/2021 18:04

Shu uemura (sp?)

Lottapianos · 24/11/2021 18:04

'Anyone else know of or remember Jafra?'

Yes, my mother had a bottle of Jafra oil that smelled of almonds. This would have been mid to late 80s in Ireland

Constance Carroll was the first brand I bought with my own money. Clear lipgloss that tasted disgusting in a roller ball bottle. And ALL of the nail colours Grin

VeronicaBeccabunga · 24/11/2021 18:12

Miners. I saved up for an eyeshadow set called 'Panda Eyes'. The colours were green and yellow, blue and purple so ideal to make yourself look as if you either had a recent black eye, or one that was a few days old.

Boots 17 lipgloss in a little square pot in the colour called 'toasted honey', the flavour of many a teenaged snog.

BabarEnFamille · 24/11/2021 18:14

I was thinking about Ruby and Millie the other day when I was looking at Trinny make up. And I found a Jemma Kidd make up brush in my drawer recently which is probably nearly 20 years old

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 24/11/2021 18:17

Prescriptives were amazing.
Ruby & Millie

But the one not mentioned: Ultima ii.

Their highlighter with a slight blue tint was sublime.

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 24/11/2021 18:18

@IrishMumInLondon2020 High Five!!

KirstenBlest · 24/11/2021 18:24

Jemma Kidd

Cheerbear24 · 24/11/2021 18:56

I thought I was so grind up buying cover girl eyeshadow when I was 16. It was a fabulous mink grey colour that I am still on the look out for today!
I miss bourjouis too.
I do remember Constance carrol and pestering my mum to get me a frosted pink shade from the chemist in the mid 80’s.

JohnStonesMissus · 24/11/2021 18:59

@ChardonnaysPetDragon

Prescriptives. They were very much ahead of their time.
Prescriptives were brilliant, I used their Flight cream in my flying days!
allfurcoatnoknickers · 24/11/2021 19:03

Another vote for Ruby and Millie. I loved their face gloss blushers, they were so good if you had dry skin.

I was obsessed with Pout as a student. They were very of the moment in the early/mid aughts. They had an eyeliner in the perfect shade of brown and an amazing fuchsia lipstick.

Only recently gone, but I loved Becca and miss it already. I really liked their whole "me, but better" aesthetic and their glowy foundations.

Malibuismysecrethome · 24/11/2021 19:06

Charles of the Ritz, Leichner, Grrmaine Monteil

PearlAsylum · 24/11/2021 19:06

Molton Brown did make-up for a while - the only blusher I've ever panned, it was fab.

Malibuismysecrethome · 24/11/2021 19:08

Mary Quant Posh Prune nail polish and their shimmer body make up

Malibuismysecrethome · 24/11/2021 19:09

Biba make up

Jacaranda75 · 24/11/2021 19:12

There was a make-up shop in Covent Garden who sold their own range. They went out of business about 15 years ago. Does anyone remember it? I bought loads from them as I worked in Covent Garden.

Riapia · 24/11/2021 19:15

A girl I was friends with in my teens wore Miners blue eye shadow.
The boys nicknamed her ‘ budgie’.
The name stuck throughout her teens.
