This year's thread for chat (and potentially) swaps for the 2021 Holland & Barrett beauty calendar.

No spoilers please! As per last year, can we please use 7am as a cut of point? So, if you are an early bird and open your door before 7am, please don't post until then. At some point during the day, I'll pop a link to that day's product in the thread.

Can't wait to open this one! Last year's was great...reusable earbud notwithstanding...

Thanks a lot IToldYouIWasFreaky - I'm more of a lurker usually but I am also looking forward to opening the calendar (my first time) and to hopefully discover some nice new cruelty free products. 😁

Good idea in theory but not great in practice as it was quite hard, knobbly plastic on the tip which made it useless for tidying up make up etc but they were adamant that you shouldn't stick it in your ear 🤷‍♀️ But there were so many other great products that I will let them off! I really like the fact that it's all new products this year...more things to try!

I've got my calendar ready, I really enjoyed the thread last year so looking forward to this year's.

I've managed to forget most of the contents of this year's calendar and going to try resisting having a sneaky peek so I get some surprises

I decided to start with H&B and save M&S for jadvent.

I'm currently undecided about doing the same, guineapigs. Didn't really need two advent calendars, but spreading them out to also cover an otherwise dreary January seems quite appealing.

I've got both H&B and M&S and I'm doing them both in Dec.

I have to say I've had a sneaky peak at some of the M&S stuff...I think because of the way it was packaged in the tin, it felt more like a beauty box to me and so not as bad to look early...

I've been more restrained with H&B though and haven't looked and have done my best to wipe my memory of the contents.

I'm so gutted I missed this (and with 20% off too!) Will have to enjoy it vicariously through this thread

I'm in, I've opened it and I've given the day 1 product a try.... Nice although a bit hard to get the pump going!

Oooh I’ve opened it too. Don’t want to do spoilers but let’s just say at my age this product is something I always need so I hope it does the trick. Interesting ingredients too. I’ve also got an M and S one but it’s not the beauty one it’s a different tea every day (this one was a present) so I’m enjoying a lovely gingerbread herbal tea on the first day of December…..

UpCircle Eye Cream with Maple and Coffee 10ml Full size, worth £14.99

I can't get the bloody pump to work! I've got the bottle on my desk and I'll keep trying when in meetings today. However, I have unscrewed the top to get to the product, and I quite like it. It does smell like coffee which is a little odd but quite nice to use in the morning. I have about a million eye creams but this one specifically targets dark circles which is great, so I'm looking forward to using.

Happy with day one - you can't beat an eye cream!

Really loved last years' and was just saying to DH how many things I bought from it afterwards! He also got into Ethique bars from it too.

I was a bit, uh eye cream! But, it will be good to give it try. I did leap out of bed crying “advent calendar day”!!!

Happy with the eye cream. I don’t use eye cream currently but maybe I should start.

I opened mine in November so missed out on the thread. I’ve been using the eye cream of an evening and it does a grand job of soothing my sore dry eyes (from contacts).

It soaks in quickly and isn’t sticky which is my pet hate from eye creams as I end up with hairy eyes from my cat
