And I can’t get it out of my head.

If I owned it my life would be better and winter would be full of wonderful crisp walks.

Sigh

Sign yourself up to their mailing list. They're bound to have discount codes and post-xmas sales.

I have a long neck so can pull off high necks nicely, but I’m a bit rounder in the tummy than I’d like. I would probably look like an actual pear. Grin

I think I’ll save for a cashmere jumper, I’ve often been tempted by Uniqlo as they are forever sending me voucher codes.

I've fallen for this idyllic view before. The reality is that you'd be way too hot in it and your neck would come out in hives. It would start raining and your rain coat wouldn't fit over the jumper. It would then shrink in the wash. You'd be really annoyed about the wasted money but secretly happy that you don't have continue to wear it to try to justify the cost.

Spudlet · 01/09/2021 19:58

Try Depop, I’m sure I saw a few similar jumpers on there just today. And it’s better for the planet!

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 01/09/2021 19:58

@Badgercity

I’ve never had cashmere, is it non-itchy and warm?
Like wearing a soft, warm, cloud.

I buy one a year and have about 10 that look as good as new. Worth the dollar.

GiveMeAUserName123 · 01/09/2021 19:58

Settle for a cheaper version until you can afford it?

Would it actually look like that on you though? Obviously the sea walks and crisp weather causing no hair frizz doesn’t also come with it, so take the photo with a large pinch of salt!!

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 01/09/2021 19:58

Oh definitely go for cashmere OP it is just pure heaven to wear. Light but soft and cosy and not a rash in sight!

DietrichandDiMaggio · 01/09/2021 19:58

@Fairnair

The jumper is gorgeous, lovely style, and colour. However, beside the price, I personally would not buy it, as it’s 100% lambs wool, which I find very itchy. Looking at the care instructions it seems a bit faffy, using their special wash etc.
That was my first thought - my neck feels itchy just looking at it!
Classica · 01/09/2021 19:59

Cashmere is a delight to wear. Lambs wool is more akin to knitted nettles on me.

TabithaTiger · 01/09/2021 20:04

It looks very nice on the model, but honestly it makes me feel hot and itchy just thinking about it!

User875906 · 01/09/2021 20:05

There is a lot of marketing bollocks in the description of the lambs wool, and the product details come to that.

CorianderBee · 01/09/2021 20:06

Although don't get cashmere if thickly soft irritated you. Drives me mad

CorianderBee · 01/09/2021 20:06

Tickle-y* not thickly

oohmama · 01/09/2021 20:09

I feel itchy just looking at that

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 01/09/2021 20:10

Superdry have something similar. www.superdry.com/womens/knitwear/details/177708/freya-tweed-crew-jumper-yellow

Probably loads of different brands do a version of a fisherman's jumper. I would be too warm in one, if I wear anything warm it has to be cardigan/jacket style so that I can whip it off as soon as I have a hot flush.

InpatientGardener · 01/09/2021 20:11

@bobbinthreadbare123 urgh yes! I couldn't work out where all these bloody catalogues kept coming from then I logged into my celtic account to unsubscribe from their emails so I can't see their stuff and end up in a predicament like OP and apparently I had signed up to receive marketing communications from their trusted partners Hmm

blanketyblank37 · 01/09/2021 20:12

I can recommend Superdry, they have a good selection of good Autumn/winter jumpers and really reasonable prices. I bought a couple last winter and lived in them, so comfy and still look brand new. If you order online they do free returns or drop back to any store.

I've bought a few items from them recently (simple basics not the funky stuff for youngsters 😂) and been really impressed.

Hope you find 'your jumper', they are a game changer.

thegreylady · 01/09/2021 20:12

Too hot to wear indoors and not warm enough for a cold damp day…I tell myself!

BlackIsQueen · 01/09/2021 20:13

That jumper looks itchy as fuck, Op! Ebay cashmere roll necks, or Marks, John Lewis. I have four cashmere jumpers that I've had for a decade. Cosy as a Cloud and I'd you look after them (handwash in wool liquid in the bath, reshape while wet, dry flat) they will last yonks

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 01/09/2021 20:17

It does look on one of the pics that it will bobble easily too.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 01/09/2021 20:25

@InpatientGardener I appear to have been signed back up as a catalogue arrived again last week. They've got that back in the post, the gits. When I was unsubscribing to everything, a nice lady from Mint Velvet let me know about the parent company for the marketing crap. Bless her! Cut it off at source! Never even looked at the MV website!

godmum56 · 01/09/2021 20:25

@candycane222

Nah. Itchy. Agree it looks great in tthe picture, but my neck would break out in angry red splotches for certain!

Plus high necks can be so hot annd then you'd be sweating into £180s worth of knitwear.

I do hope that has helped a little :D!

^^ this itchy itchy neck and sweaty sweaty sweatbox

I now can't stop singing your thread title, to the tune of, "I'm in Love With a German Film Star".

DGFB · 01/09/2021 20:30

I’d buy it and not buy three other cheaper jumpers. It will
Last you a decade. It’s gorgeous
