And I can’t get it out of my head.

If I owned it my life would be better and winter would be full of wonderful crisp walks.

Sigh

Nah. Itchy. Agree it looks great in tthe picture, but my neck would break out in angry red splotches for certain!

Plus high necks can be so hot annd then you'd be sweating into £180s worth of knitwear.

I do hope that has helped a little :D!

Fabvegetablegrower · 01/09/2021 19:18

Be great to have a hand knitted one like this. Smile

Badgercity · 01/09/2021 19:21
Grin

I’ll just keep picturing a hot sweaty rashy double chin.

I do not look like the model, so I would probably look frumpy also.

This helps.

I do need something snug though….literally neeeeeeed.

Definitely far too itchy!!

ShaunaTheSheep · 01/09/2021 19:23

Get yourself a cashmere roll neck from M&S men's department. That's my favourite jumper.

Franklyfrost · 01/09/2021 19:24

If it makes you feel any better that high neck, ribbing and big seams going in from armpit to neck will put that jumper in the sale. It’s not going to be flattering on most.

This is similar and IMO nicer!

TheSunIsStillShining · 01/09/2021 19:28

I have one almost exactly like this. I knitted it 2 years ago. Cost was about £50 for half cashmere/wool yarn. And I had fun doing it.

It is lovely to have one like this: warm, snugly, super soft :) ok, the cashmere probably helps

Badgercity · 01/09/2021 19:28

I also want this jumper from Motherland

The washing looks a bit of a faff, it says no spin so you can't use wool wash in machine, it will make your house smell of damp sheep when you wash it.

Badgercity · 01/09/2021 19:28
I like this! And a bargain Smile

Meh. £185 and it’s not even cashmere.

Get yourself on Pure Cashmere. Granted, you have to hunt but I tend to buy end of season (for the next year). And no itch.

User875906 · 01/09/2021 19:37

Yes because these don't date I would just buy if it got reduced for the following year, I do this with most expensive purchases, I never need anything that badly to pay full price

Badgercity · 01/09/2021 19:40

I’ve never had cashmere, is it non-itchy and warm?

OP posts:
Mycatcontrolsmymovements · 01/09/2021 19:42

Thats makes me itch looking at it

Lunificent · 01/09/2021 19:44

I would look like a green ball in that with my round head sticking out of it.
You’d need to have the shape of the model to carry it off - tall, long upper body, broad shoulders, long neck and nice face/head shape.

Lunificent · 01/09/2021 19:45

Cashmere is perfect. It’s soft and warm.

CorianderBee · 01/09/2021 19:46

Oh yes, I had two in this exact style - one green and grey weave one dark grey and light grey weave - I wore them for over 10 years and they looked good with EVERYTHING.

They were only £30 each from Topshop though circa around 2010. I still regret not buying hundreds more.

CorianderBee · 01/09/2021 19:48

Balls now I want it

VenusTiger · 01/09/2021 19:50

Dry clean or hand wash cold - nah, not reality.
I'm jealous ppl (like my DH) can wear 100% lambswool though, esp around the neck Shock just the thought of it is making me wince!
I've a gorgeous chunky long cardy with 3% Alpaca wool and I have to wear long sleeves underneath.

Honestly, it doesn't look £185 imo - seen nicer ones.

ShaunaTheSheep · 01/09/2021 19:50

Yes! An investment but worth it.
CorianderBee · 01/09/2021 19:50

Yikes just seen it's wool. Never mind, my eczema would murder me

Puffinhead · 01/09/2021 19:50

Knit one yourself??!

MelbourneTerrace · 01/09/2021 19:50

Grey...and less than half price if you don't mind pre-loved.
