@faustina, they do indeed fade beautifully.
@Saurus72, I am usually a 10 in dresses (even a 12 sometimes), but I am busty and have no hips to speak of, so need a bigger size for the top rather than the bottom. I have no Toast skirts, but in trousers I would be an 8 or a 10 depending on whether the waist is fixed or elasticated. So I would say the denim skirt is probably sized as you would expect for a Toast skirt. Hope that is some help.

ScottishMouse · 10/07/2021 19:36

Has anyone got or tried the Dogtooth patch pocket jacket that is in the sale? At sale price I am thinking about trying it, but would have to order an 8 as no 10 in stock. I have Toast jackets in both 8 and 10, depends on the style a bit. This one looks like it might be quite fitted, anyone have any info? Thanks!

Templetreebloom · 11/07/2021 14:50

Does anyone know what trousers they have paired with the ruffle blouse ?
They are really voluminous and Im hoping they arent the Hemp Panel trousers but I cant work out which ones they are .
Im hoping JL will get the denim wrap skirt and Aster dress in soon.
Not ordering from Toast if I can avoid it.
Im wearing the Cotton/ Cashmere check trousers-they are culottes actually.
So pleased with these, the fabric is so lovely and soft and as Ive toned up considerably since I bought them, they fit beautifully.

ScottishMouse · 11/07/2021 15:21

@Templetreebloom, I think it might be these:
www.toa.st/collections/womens-trousers/products/indigo-denim-pleated-trousers-indigo
it’s definitely not the hemp panel ones.

ScottishMouse · 11/07/2021 15:22

Also, love those culottes. Another piece I wanted which just didn’t suit me ☹️

Templetreebloom · 11/07/2021 15:37

Thanks @ScottishMouse.
I think I might order the Hemp Panel ones.

Im soooo over the sales and happily stalking for new things !
I love autumn and always start to hanker after cosy things.
Got my jumper of doom out to finish the sleeves so that I can cast on new things Grin

@ScottishMouse Do you sew?
I made the Ninni Culottes ( search #Ninniculottes on Insta) and the pattern is really easy but also I sized down massively to get a less pouffy culotte.
They are a slimmer shape than the check ones but you could shorten to suit you
Im planning some in Sevenberry Indigo and also a linen/ wool twill.
I like those lacy slipover but still havent started the one I got the pattern for ages ago .

Countmeout · 11/07/2021 15:39

Pair of denim type trousers reduced to an unbelievably low

I have those culottes and love them

I've ordered those jeans just in case they're as good as the Alix ones I have my eye on - thank you @Countmeout

Countmeout · 11/07/2021 16:41

You’re welcome @faustina

Lovely sneak peeks of the dresses I love cherries and Saurus . Hope you had a good camping trip I love cherries

ilovecherries · 12/07/2021 16:25

Argh. Wearing an anokhi print dress (bought new from Toast last year but worn for first time today), and I am now sporting a livid dress shaped rash complete with blisters and weals. Boobs, bum, face, and lower half of arms and legs are the only unaffected areas. I’ve bought up the entire village’s supply of E45 with HC and piriton and am huddled in the caravan wearing my pjs and trying not to rip my skin off. This has happened with dyes a couple of times before but it seems pretty random. You can literally see the shape of my bra and knickers and there are clear demarcation lines round my neck and just above my calves and elbows.

neveradullmoment99 · 12/07/2021 17:35

Oh dear @ilovecherries sounds miserable. I have never heard of an allergy to dyes but Im sure it must happen.
Can you wash the item so you can wear it again? Would washing it prevent your allergy?
Hope it goes soon.

Oh dear!

Laska2Meryls · 12/07/2021 17:57

Oh gawd Cherries could it be heat rash? 😢
Here is the French striped shirt from the sale ( with Alix trousers) ... really pleased with it .. Also the charcoal
I also ordered the new Elena Denim shirt..which I love but was too big...am considering whether to reorder as its very expensive

I mean, I say it’s the dye but I guess it could be fixatives or something used to give a finish to the fabric. It’s only every happened with cotton - cheap viscose from zara, no problem! That twice with toast and once with a joules sweatshirt.

Laska2Meryls · 12/07/2021 17:58

Also charcoal linen half sleeve tee from last summer season arrived . I could only get an XL but its fine (will just be wearing it loose!)

Countmeout · 12/07/2021 18:22

@ilovecherries that’s so annoying on every level. I know some people wash things before they wear them but I like the newness of things . I think once something is washed it loses the finish although it could be that that is irritating.

ilovecherries · 12/07/2021 19:54

I was coming up in more and more big watery blisters so eventually The Man took me to minor injuries. The nurse practitioner was most impressed by the degree to which the rash followed the lines of the dress, said she’d never seen anything quite like it. Anyway, three day course of steroids, she says I will be feeling much better by bedtime. Most annoying, I love the newness of new clothes as well.

Gonegrey31 · 12/07/2021 20:03

Poor you ilovecherries I do think you should report this to Toast. The dye must be toxic to have such an extreme effect . I hope the discomfort eases soon.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 12/07/2021 20:47

That sounds awful ilovecherries , I agree report to Toast.

My Himari pyjamas arrived today. The medium is a great fit apart from the sleeves looking odd as it is either designed for very wide shoulders or it’s meant to be dropped shoulder and the material is stiff until it’s washed, although can’t see dropped shoulder in the description.
Not sure whether to keep them.

AuldFox · 12/07/2021 20:49

Ooof poor you @ilovecherries
You never know which dye you’re going to react, and the anokhi print dresses tend to be heavily dyed. Hope things improve with the steroids soon!

AuldFox · 12/07/2021 20:57

I got the Ashley long crop jeans from JL, great price on the green ones, but I went for the black in size 8. This is a true to size fit, wide leg, with no give whatsoever. I love the deep pockets that completely swallow up my phone. I am 5’3 though so it’s pretty much ankle length. This is the wide leg jean I was waiting for. Highly recommended.

faustina · 12/07/2021 21:12

@ilovecherries - that sounds horrific! I hope the steroids sort you out - and yes please do report to Toast

@Laska2Meryls - the shirt looks so flattering - hope you're going to keep it!

There's a quite nice looking denim kimono sleeve top on Kin. I'm thinking of trying it. Has anyone else got it?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 12/07/2021 21:29

I bought the green Ashley Long crop from JL @AuldFox. Slightly big but not enough to size down, agree, really great wide crop jean.

Laska2Meryls · 12/07/2021 21:31

Im keeping the French striped shirt Faustina ( the shorter one) have sent back the Elena (but once I get the refund, I am pretty sure that I'll reorder on smaller size) .. I saw the Kin one but not sure of the gathers coming from the neckline.. I am quite busty so I reckon that it won't be that flattering on me
