That’s strange @ScottishMouse I used online chat this morning and it was all ok, I was trying to find out about the harlequin dress and when it’s coming in it they have zero information 😕

ScottishMouse · 23/08/2021 14:49

Oh that’s good to hear @Saurus72. Though not good that they have no info. That has been my experience recently too when asking about items that appear online and immediately show as out of stock. Hopefully it will show up soon online.

ScottishMouse · 23/08/2021 14:50

Ooh, what did you order @ilovecherries.

ilovecherries · 23/08/2021 15:40

Far too much Saurus (was very miserable!). I ordered the check gingham trousers and the Thai fisherman’s trousers, but they’ve already refunded both because of stock issues (so that saved about 250 straight away!) Green gabis, apricot raglan cardi, swingy linen shirt, blue seed shirt and several pairs of socks. Had I know they were going to cancel both pairs of the trousers, I would have had the crinkle cotton check ones, but never mind.

ilovecherries · 23/08/2021 15:41

I paid for delivery tomorrow morning as well, and I already have the dhl tracking number.

ScottishMouse · 23/08/2021 16:08

Ooh, nice @ilovecherries. Hope there’s some keepers in that lot.

Blossomtoes · 23/08/2021 16:10

It’ll be like Christmas in your house tomorrow @ilovecherries.

Countmeout · 23/08/2021 17:10

Look forward to seeing it all @ilovecherries

@ilovecherries - hope the things cheer you up! Don't forget to show them to us when they arrive!

AmethystMoonShine · 23/08/2021 17:37

Sorry to hear you’re feeling miserable @ilovecherries, I hope you love what you’ve ordered. I also shop when sad, it’s that or eat way too much chocolate Blush

Gonegrey31 · 23/08/2021 17:43

I think a Toast splurge is the best medicine!

Saurus72 · 23/08/2021 17:59

@ilovecherries I often feel quite down in August, I really don’t enjoy this month. I think a lot of it is to do with the fact we go on holiday in September so I always feel like I’m running on empty by this point - plus having to pick up colleagues’ work who are on holiday. Tomorrow will be fabulous, I really hope it’s a good pick me up 😊

JustforToast · 24/08/2021 09:55

I am very keen on these trousers in the Dark olive. Has anyone seen them IRL or have any tips as to sizing?

Total first world problem I know. Paid 13 sodding pounds to get a guarantee morning delivery today. Hasn’t arrived, and DHL tracking is now saying tomorrow. WIBU to tell Toast I want a full (not partial) postal refund?

justfortoast, I’m not sure about these trousers, I find all the fixed waist ones quite tight in my usual size, then voluminous on the bum. Someone of more normal shape will be along soon no doubt! Lovely trousers though.

Blossomtoes · 24/08/2021 13:53

Not in the least unreasonable @ilovecherries. I’d be furious. Surely you got free standard postage anyway though? That order must be more than £125.

I’m peeved on your behalf because I was looking forward to seeing your clothes on a real person.

ScottishMouse · 24/08/2021 13:54

How annoying @ilovecherries. I have had that issues with Toast orders coming with DHL and have complained and got a full postage refund. I find that although the Royal Mail express delivery says 1-2 days, it more reliably arrives the next day than the DHL option. That doesn’t help you now, but something to bear in mind for next time.
But yes, definitely complain to Toast.

ilovecherries · 24/08/2021 14:25

Yes, it would have been free (and I have a post pass anyway), but I was feeling so sorry for myself yesterday I decided it would be nice just to have it arrive this morning. I don’t usually go premium on the postage.
Blossomtoes · 24/08/2021 14:35

I know, I completely get that. I worded what I said badly. Of course they should refund all the postage you paid. It’s particularly irking because of your reason for paying it in the first place.

Laska2Meryls · 24/08/2021 16:11

I got a refund in two days, which is good, but am still waiting for delivery of the Alix trousers I ordered last week ..and despite it saying 'fulfilled' since Friday, Still dont have an order acknowledgement..
But I dont seem to any longer as I have a Btinternet address which apparently Toast cant send to ( but they manage to send me refund and marketing emails ! 🙄,). Inow always pay by PayPal so at least I have a receipt from them

AuldFox · 24/08/2021 18:19

Full refund is due to you @ilovecherries sorry you didn’t get your much needed perk today. Bad DHL.

ToastCosILoveIt · 24/08/2021 18:26

@ilovecherries, sorry to hear, how disappointing for you, you should definitely challenge and get a refund.

I ordered yesterday and paid for next day delivery (not morning) and my parcel arrived around 12.30pm. I am in London so wonder if that makes a difference (appreciating that the order comes from Wales).

Some feedback re products and sizing - the Aster floral dress arrived in a 12. It is a little roomy but I do think the 10 might have pulled a little on the bust. I also ordered the Lofty Alpaca Collared Cardigan in teal. I ordered a large as I didn't want it too fitted but maybe should size down to a medium. The colour is very much green with speckles of blue showing through. www.toa.st/collections/womens-knitwear/products/lofty-alpaca-collared-cardigan-teal

Finally, I ordered the Indigo Denim Wrap skirt. The website recommended a 12 for me but a review suggested it came up big. I ordered this one via John Lewis and ordered a 10 and a 12. Both fitted and I don't think there is a huge difference in the sizing but in the end I have gone with the 12 as I can 'feel' the 10 on my waist all of the time while the 12 sits effortlessly. Thankfully there isn't too much fabric and flare in the A line shape which can sometimes make a 12 look too big. www.toa.st/collections/womens-skirts/products/indigo-denim-wrap-skirt-indigo

iguanadonna · 24/08/2021 21:22

@ToastCosILoveIt the colour of that cardigan is lovely! Any chance of a pic?

iguanadonna · 24/08/2021 21:22

Cherries, looking forward to hearing about your purchases tomorrow

ilovecherries · 24/08/2021 22:56

Lovely cardigan, ToastCosILoveIt. I bought a lofty Adrian in the sales 2/3 years ago and I adore it - mine is a deep, dark blue. Actually, I just want all the knitwear. One of my stylist friends told me today that cardigans were dated and frumpy and I was like ‘nooooooooo!’ I love a good cardi, and nearly all my favourites are from Toast, Celtic and Co or Brora. Although I got a nice jumper from Finisterre recently. What can I say…

ilovecherries · 24/08/2021 22:57

Alpaca. No idea who Adrian is, but if he likes jumpers, we might be friends…
