Really enjoying the surge in chat on this thread.
I have been in to a London Toast shop today and tried a few things on and made a few purchases. The shop was all new autumn wear with almost all of the summer stuff gone now.
I am a busty high street 12, often a 10 in Toast but a 12 for the jeans and some of the dresses. Usually a medium in the SML ranges.
Firstly the Vibrant Check Cotton Dress: I have had my eye on this for ages but knew it was one that needed trying on. I am pleased to report that the 12 looks fab on and I've bought it. Range of sizes in the shop was, as usual, very limited so there was no chance ot try the 10 but the 12 fits well. www.toa.st/collections/womens-dresses/products/vibrant-check-cotton-dress-lime-ruby
The Micros Gingham Cotton Jumpsuit: oh my goodness, I wouldn't have given this a second glance on the website but this is absolutely fabulous, a flattering fit and a Japanese vibe. I don't think the model on the website does it justice, it is beautiful. I tried on the small thinking it wouldn't go near me but it fitted with room to spare and just flatters the body so much. It is ankle skimming on me and I am 5ft 5. Another purchase. www.toa.st/collections/womens-jumpsuits/products/micro-gingham-cotton-jumpsuit-slate-ecru
The Mila Bolete Print dress: the 10 looks huge on the hanger but is more snug in th ebust than previous versions of this dress (but still big enough). I didn't buy it as I'm not sure that the colour was a good one for me. www.toa.st/collections/womens-dresses/products/mila-bolete-print-dress-honey
The Ruffle Collar Check Shirt in Sapphire: tried on in a 12 and fits perfectly (although the website recommends a size 10 for me). I appreciate this shirt is marmite on this thread but i love it: will look great with Annie jeans or with slim black trousers for the office. Another purchase. www.toa.st/products/ruffle-collar-check-shirt-sapphire
The Micro Gingham Cotton Dress: the small was a good fit but it didn't wow and the colour didn't flatter me. It also felt a bit short in length. I had expected to love this but didn't. www.toa.st/collections/womens-dresses/products/micro-gingham-cotton-dress-slate-ecru
The Wool Cotton Lace Knit Tanktop in Kingfisher. They only had a large in stock but i really liked it and the large certainly wasn't huge. A great piece for throwing over dresses and teeshirts in winter or wearing on it's own in summer. Bought it. I see it is sold out on line in most sizes. www.toa.st/products/wool-cotton-lace-knit-tank-kingfisher
I have been hankering after the Jessa Denim Dungarees and miraculously they had a pair in a size 12. When on, they looked perfect in every respect apart from at the front at the waist which seemed to sit a little low and didn't flatter. The 14 would have been too big on the bum and the top. Didn't buy. www.toa.st/collections/womens-denim/products/jessa-denim-dungarees-indigo
Bought the Fairisle socks in green to wear with jeans - www.toa.st/collections/womens-socks-tights/products/fair-isle-socks-green-multi
I asked about the Hexagonal dress and was told none are in stock anywhere and they have already sold out. The assistant reckons they briefly came onto the website before they were in stock and the pre-orders meant they have already sold out.
I also asked about the green solovair Dora boots and was told they are likely to sell out on pre-orders so I think I am going to order now.
Quite a lot of the new knitwear was in store: it all looked fab but I didn't try anything on apart from the lace knit tank.
