Ahem. Who was saying prices are less? 😯🤔

Saurus72 · 19/08/2021 17:18

Yeah that was me @Laska2Meryls - I take it back!

faustina · 19/08/2021 17:41

@ScottishMouse - thank you! I tried it on in a small and it seemed quite generous, so I've ordered the XS - but I'm not a fan of fitted things really. It's nice to know someone finds it so useful. I think perhaps there wasn't more love because it's a quiet piece if you know what I mean (also v expensive!) - and quiet pieces often do turn out to be the ones you wear to death

faustina · 19/08/2021 17:54

I really love the heathery jumper, also the fair isle one! Like Laska though, I think I've reached peak jumper

It is beautiful though. And hand knitted. I really wish I hadn’t seen it. 😢

I scratched an itch and bought the ditsy dress, sadly it’s too big (went for 12 as I wanted it easy fit but much too big) and I’m not keen on the sleeve shape.

Of the new stuff, I like the green cord skirt, could someone with access to a shop try it on and report back please. Also love the fairisle jumper but I too am possibly jumpered out. But it is lovely.

@Saurus72, that dress is amazing, I want it. Also, the green solovair boots are a must for me. Some nice things on the website now...

MrsCat1 · 19/08/2021 20:32

Yes @Saurus72 I love that dress! I want it! (Plus a few other things that have just appeared!).

Saurus72 · 19/08/2021 20:37

Bankruptcy beckons - it might be worth it 🙄

iguanadonna · 19/08/2021 21:44

Good that gorgeous embroidered dress isn't available in XL or I'd have blown coat allowance on a single impractical frock

iguanadonna · 19/08/2021 21:46

Saurus that harlequin dress is fabulous. I have one in similar shape from the sale with orange pattern and adore it. Not keen on viscose in general though. Feels cold on skin

I love the green Solvairs also !! But I am also peak boot ... Well tbh Peak everything Blush

But green boots, thats something that I dont have 🤣

Mariclaire82 · 19/08/2021 22:19

Can I ask, has anyone had/tried the needlecord shirt dresses from previous seasons? Many sizes gone in the Needlecord Yoke Shirt Dress already but may take a punt on the 12 if it is a generous cut.....

ilovecherries · 19/08/2021 22:44

Yes, I tried one last year, marieclaire. It was very big (and I like my clothes loose and rarely size down). You could def go down one size and possibly even two if you aren’t overly blessed in the chest department. I’m a 32G and iirc correctly I was just on the cusp of being able to go down two sizes.

Mariclaire82 · 19/08/2021 23:11

Thanks so much @ilovecherries, I will risk the smaller size in that case…

PostMenPatWithACat · 20/08/2021 09:26

Has anyone bought their Indian style multi-coloured dressing gowns. Or even the velvety one that comes out every year. Are they worth it?

faustina · 20/08/2021 10:15

@PostMenPatWithACat - I have had the velvet one and I would say not worth it unless they ever go back to the splendid cotton velvet they used to have when they started. The viscose mix they use now is a bit cheap looking, and it's dry clean only

PostMenPatWithACat · 20/08/2021 10:18

Thank you.

Laska2Meryls · 20/08/2021 11:13

They seem to do variations of the same thing most years .. I have the chunky cord dress in that dark slate/ coffee , ( true it doesn't have a yoke , but really love it ( even more because I got it for 55!).

Saurus72 · 20/08/2021 12:00

Klaxon There’s a new styling video on Instagram

Saurus72 · 20/08/2021 12:13

I really wish I could make the green cord skirt look as flattering as the model did - all of those gathers are not doable for me at all. Ho hum.

Laska2Meryls · 20/08/2021 12:16

I loved the last outfit, long shirt , sand trousers and the little blue gilet .. That's very 'me' .. Also really like the new Oxblood Hereu shoes ... but the price!! Shock

Really dont like those frilly collars on shirts though..

ScottishMouse · 20/08/2021 12:18

Instagram styling video is up.

ilovecherries · 20/08/2021 12:20

I bought a frilly collar shirt in the sale last year just to see. Honest to god, I looked like Andy Pandy. It was back in the bag within minutes. I think maybe if you have a graceful, swan like neck and posture it might work but for me, it just took up valuable real estate between my chin and my boobs.

ScottishMouse · 20/08/2021 12:23

Oh, you’re all quicker than me!
Love that embroidered dress, but I would never wear it for fear of getting it filthy!
Also love the last outfit @Laska2Meryls. Will report back on the hemp gilet when it arrives.
