That looks lovely on you @ilovecherries. I had that top but a terrible accident befell it - I got it caught on a wall hook and it ripped right across the centre of the front panel. So sad. I tried to mend it, but managed to make it even worse.

Also, love your hair @ilovecherries! I am all salt and pepper and it is such a frizzy mess. Debating cutting the whole lot off. Is yours naturally so sleek and straight?

🤣🤣. Thank you so much for the compliment, I really do appreciate it. I’m almost completely bald and have been for over 40 years. Some days I go bald, some days I wear a wrap, other days I wear one of (my far too many!) wigs. I’m totally at peace with it, but I do still love it when I get hair compliments.

Apparently Dolly Patron once said to a reporter ‘I’ve no idea how long it takes to do my hair, I’m never in the room when it happens’. That’s me!

Absolutely not offended. I really meant it when I said I loved the compliments. Plus female baldness and hair loss is actually a huge issue and I think the more we normalise and talk about it the better.

Repirting more woes.
Ordered 2 sale items at very end of the sale - on 15/07. Received confirmation email. After 10 days shiwn in my account as "unfulfilled ". Did online chat and told it would be with me v soon. Nothing. No further email. No parcel. More online chat today - 2 weeks after ordering - requesting cancellation and refund. Told they would request cancellation but may not be possible... that I'd get an email if cancelled- or could expect the goods - no timescale - no explanation of what had gone wrong. Later email saying cancelled and refunded - may take up to 5 days. No explanation or apology. I replied saying it was all a bit rubbish. Did get reply - saying goods "probably out of stock" and blaming new systems...

@NoCureForLove, so sorry to hear, how disappointing. The "new systems" excuse is wearing a bit thin now after so many months.

That’s a bit rubbish nocure. I’ve had a better experience today - returned three parcels on Monday afternoon and all refunded this morning - so less than 48 hours after I posted them.

@ilovecherries, I had the same, returned all three pieces I had ordered on Monday, refunded at lunch time today.

I think the complete lottery aspect of it is the rubbish bit. All works well... until it doesn't... And their responses to a problem are quite meh and a bit provoking.

I think its an utter disgrace. Their response is also shocking. At the end of the day, If they displease their customers, then they will lose on sales. I haven't had issue with Toast but then I haven't returned anything. I did also receive my last sale purchase of the natural dress that @ilovecherries said was quite yellow. I agree, it is. Not sure about it tbh. The collar is quite pointy. Done up, its no good for a fuller bust. undone, the collar looks quite big. Need to try it on again later. The window pane shirt is boxy but nice but definitely not worth over £100 which it was originally although it does say its been hand woven but it really doesn't look different from any other shirts I have. Its a nice fresh light cream. Love the check as its subtle and love the darker stitching at the bottom. Again, useful but not to die for.

@Iovecherries the outfit is fab. The top looks great and is one that I would never have considered. Really strange how you see something on someone and it changes your mind.

Apologies for the late reply, but just want to thank those of you who gave me some excellent advice regarding Toast sizing, I am off to look at the instagram folks recommended!

Thanks for the info re other Toast Instagram accounts *@ScottishMouse*. I plan to spend some time browsing them all. Lots to see. I have now followed them all 🤭 there seems to be some more styling videos but I haven’t looked at them yet. Will report back. I think your cardigan is very nice on you and it will be so cosy in winter.

@ConfusedParticle I am 5’4” but I am bigger then you 10/12. The only thing I have bought that I just had to shorten is the Lydia jersey pinafore, I like things quite long though.
I noticed on the Toast Nottinghill Instagram account Jael features and looks great in the new slipcover with trousers, she seems to be very small so maybe things she’s wearing will give inspiration for those of you who are tiny.

This is so helpful, she does look incredibly petite, I really wish they would show a range of models in their clothes on the website, I think more people like me would bite.

Jael is pretty spot on my size (I’m an inch taller and don’t have her lovely colouring ) so I look forward to seeing more of her in the styling videos. A very good model for me

A few new loungewear items on the website. I’m liking the gingham jumpsuit and dress.

Today, me and my Toast dress are at the Goodwood Hotel. OH doing a track day tomorrow, I’m just here to eat, drink, have long baths and read. V v happy 😊
