Women you think are ageing beautifully with no intervention

Hi,

So I was watching This Morning and Sharon Marshall was on and I was thinking she must be 50 now and looks absolutely incredible. Not that you can't look incredible at 50, whether you actually look 50 or 30!! This isn't age bashing ATALL, but I just thought how refreshing it was to see a woman looking so good, with no hint of the pillow face, which more and more women seem to be getting these days to fight off the wrinkles.

I'm not anti botox, fillers etc, but I do worry that so many women feel pressure to have this look, rather than daring to grow old/er naturally, because that's what we see as the norm.

Anyway, this isn't an anti anything thread, I just wondered who you thought was growing older particularly beautifully, naturally.

Even I can see Kathy's had a lot of work. She looks younger than her son in the programme now.

I'm pretty sure shes only a few years older than him anyway.i never thought she looked old enough to be his mum, even 20 years ago!

Oooh, you might be on to something there. Especially since she’s lived in Paris for decades where there are probably firm ideas, in the moneyed and sophisticated circles she'd move in, about what looks a bit vulgar (a puffed and frozen face) as opposed to clever wizardry that the plebs aren’t in on yet.

omg I have a list of women that I look at as "goals". I also know that most of these women follow a mostly vegetarian diet, excercise daily, drink loads of water

She’s had loads. Lots of pictures of Emma Thompson in Vogue a couple of months ago, she looks great and obviously hasn’t had any work.

Up until this year I would have said Julia Ormond but I fear she may have caved in and had a face-lift - or The Telegraph went overboard with the photoshopping!

I think 'black don't crack' is the expression. Thicker skin?
Men have thicker skin than women too.
East Asian people are also said to age more slowly or as my colleague says look young until you get to a certain age and suddenly start looking really old.

Kate Winslet. She was clearly meant to look a bit rough round the edges and unkempt in Mare of Easttown. But she still looked stunning, and looked her age.

I agree. She's definitely looking better with age. When she was young she was pretty but bland, now she is gorgeous.

That being said I think she may have had some filler around her lips. Not in the lips themselves but just above them to enhance her lip line and remove cats bum lines. I recognised the look as I have it done and I love it. OTOH she could just have naturally beautiful lips.

Whatevs - she is stunning and Mare of Easttown was the best theing she's ever done.
