Women you think are ageing beautifully with no intervention

Hi,

So I was watching This Morning and Sharon Marshall was on and I was thinking she must be 50 now and looks absolutely incredible. Not that you can't look incredible at 50, whether you actually look 50 or 30!! This isn't age bashing ATALL, but I just thought how refreshing it was to see a woman looking so good, with no hint of the pillow face, which more and more women seem to be getting these days to fight off the wrinkles.

I'm not anti botox, fillers etc, but I do worry that so many women feel pressure to have this look, rather than daring to grow old/er naturally, because that's what we see as the norm.

Anyway, this isn't an anti anything thread, I just wondered who you thought was growing older particularly beautifully, naturally.

Completely agree about Fiona Shaw, Jodie Comer as villanelle always gets the headlines for style in killing Eve but Fiona always looks just exquisite as Carolyn.

I almost agree except I think Fiona Shaw looked way better. Carolyn's outfits were the only thing that kept me watching beyond the first few episodes.

I feel sad for Madonna.

Even though she'd be furious at being the object of anyone's pity.

Kristen Scott Thomas is beautiful and I think very natural.

Juliette Binoche is still stunning but maybe she's had stuff done.

Hard to tell with Kristin Scott Thomas. In that pic she looks convincingly lined though. Her hair is SO chic. She's fantastic.

I Kristin Scott Thomas in a Channel 4 doc recently and her face looked natural to me. Very beautiful but with the lines you'd expect in a woman of 60-ish.

I think that Kristen Scott looks great and that the lines look very natural but that she has a remarkable jawline for 61.

My hunch is that the trend is moving away from Botox now that more 'civilians' (to quite Ms Hurley) are accessing it, and moving towards much more expensive and skilled jawline work.

Oooh, you might be on to something there. Especially since she’s lived in Paris for decades where there are probably firm ideas, in the moneyed and sophisticated circles she'd move in, about what looks a bit vulgar (a puffed and frozen face) as opposed to clever wizardry that the plebs aren’t in on yet.

I have no idea if she's had work done but the actress who plays Kathy in Eastenders looks very good. I saw a very old clip of her on EE classics and I think she looks younger now. I guess she is mid to late 60s.

Even I can see Kathy's had a lot of work. She looks younger than her son in the programme now.

Annette Bening, Joanna Lumley Kristen Scott-Thomas and Jennifer Saunders. June Whitfield always looked good too. They look their age, they look great but I have no idea if they've had work done.

All these people have had work done ! It's just that some know where to stop.

You don't know that. Emma Thompson has been vocal in her opposition to cosmetic procedures. I doubt Mariella Frostrup has had work done.

Like I said, women can age well without intervention.

Faye Tozer from Steps is stunning - not sure how old she is but she looks better now than she did when Steps first came out. She's gorgeous!

Loads of these women must have had some work done. But does it matter? I would rather a thread with information about who their drs are/what clinics they swear by so I can make an appointment myself!
