I need to invest in some summer dresses to wear with white trainers or flat leather sandals.

Early 40s, size 12-14.

@AnnaBegins this dress is lovely! What are the sizing like? I've never ordered from Apricot before but I love this dress.

@Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel I'm a small size 10 and 5'3. The small is great for me - maybe even generous? Don't know about the other sizes!

Yes, I want to know too, that dress is lovely! Not in the UK at the mo, and it's available in L but I think that might be a 12. Does anyone know?

L is a 12. They do a size guide thing that you put your measurements into and it recommends a size.

Feeling hopeful - I’m a short size 12 late 30’s who hasn’t worn a dress for years and desperately trying to find something in cotton that’s comfy whilst being flattering of a c section tummy

I bought this one today, it's much longer on me, mid calf, I'm 5' 3" but not maxi, it's very flattering especially in the boob area, I'm 32FF

I have this one - wore it for the first time yesterday and felt great. Am 44 and a 'generous' size 14. Photos look good too, surprisingly, although am not posting actual photos of me.

I bought this last month and wore it today. I don’t think I’ll be able to wear it again until next summer because I’m 21 weeks pregnant and my boobs are getting out of control.

I got a L, only because there wasn’t a M. I’m 5 ft 1, and apple shaped and usually a 12 or 14. It’s floor length, but I just hoik the elasticated bit up a bit to make it shorter. It’s VERY thin cotton, but I’m living in UAE at the moment so lots of heat and no wind. It looks literally dries in 10 mins.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie I really love that Arket dress - do you mind me asking how tall you are? (I prefer a mid-calf length and am 5ft 6.)

This Button front dress from H&M. It's longer than I'd usually wear but I love the leg coverage. It's nicely shaped around the top and the belt gives shape too.
