In the spirit of the thread we have all seen (and probably commented on) about this board becoming a bit boring, I thought I would spice things up by starting a thread where we could share things bought recently that we are excited about.

Fun purchases only!

I will start. I got this from River Island. Very puffy sleeves but I am a pear shape so the puffiness balances me out. I love the pattern and is it so spring/summer and pretty. I've made a very exciting purchase (not)... because I'm fed up of getting wet in the rain on my way to work.
I've ordered a smart looking black lightweight waterproof jacket from the Kimberley Walsh collection at Regatta.. with various discounts it cost just £20 (that's the exciting part).
Also it will fold up small into a handbag.

And in Tesco today I bought a black batwing F&F T-shirt for £8. To replace an old black top.

However I plan to buy a very pretty playsuit next week from Lipsy at Next for £38 to make up for my boring purchases this week.

Probably late to the party but bought Olaplex No.3.. used it three times so far and very impressed (root stretch light blonde hair) reckon I’ll get 6 lots out the bottle so not too bad...

I have that top! It’s even more gorgeous in real life. But be warned it’s not a top to put on in a rush. It’s not hard to put on until you’re rushing. It’s like the printer of tops

I bought a beautiful bag from Aspinal in the sale a few days ago. It's currently being held hostage by the sorting office who are only open 8-10 mon-fri now because of Covid.

Told myself I'd dust off the sewing machine if needed but it's here and it's perfect. DH commenting on how much taller I looked. It's so flattering and yes, I'll say it, comfortable.

I've just done exactly the same with this: trafficpeople.co.uk/collections/dresses/products/mia-tiered-chiffon-maxi-dress-in-red but I'm preparing myself for the worst.

Apparently the model is five foot 9 and it looks as if she would be sweeping the floor with it if she didn't have the boots, so there's probably no hope for me at five foot 4. I can't do a rolled hem on my ancient machine either, so I'm praying it doesn't have to go back because I desperately need gold polka dots .

I paid $4.99 for them in my local secondhand shop. They were in mint condition.

@excelledyourself The length increases with size. Im an 8-10 (more often 10) but bought the size 8 as the dress is quite loose until you add the belt. When I tried it on with trainers I tucked the top of the skirt under the belt to shorten it and it worked well. With 3 inch heels I wouldn't need to tuck it in at all.

I've bought these shoes (possibly a bit marmite) but the weather has precluded me from wearing them yet. Waaah!
