In the spirit of the thread we have all seen (and probably commented on) about this board becoming a bit boring, I thought I would spice things up by starting a thread where we could share things bought recently that we are excited about.

Fun purchases only!

I will start. I got this from River Island. Very puffy sleeves but I am a pear shape so the puffiness balances me out. I love the pattern and is it so spring/summer and pretty. So many nice things on this thread it makes me realise my purchases are always very boring. But today I received my new dress from Maje and gorgeous gorgeous new boots also Maje.

I am becoming very disappointed at the online ordering cycle of order > excitement > anticipation > receipt of order > disappointment > send it back.
Maje has broke me out of this circle.

@Purplecatshopaholic all I can say is that is bloody gorgeous.

@Perdita40 hmm I’m not sure about that, they’re quite fitted. I’m an 8 and got a small and it fits perfectly but I wouldn’t be able to wear anything thicker than a camisole or blouse underneath it. I’d size up if you like a bit more of an oversized fit.

I bought a beautiful bag from Aspinal in the sale a few days ago. It's currently being held hostage by the sorting office who are only open 8-10 mon-fri now because of Covid.

I shall be there at 8.01 tomorrow to collect if!

I also may have ordered two new tops whilst on a teams call this morning. (For my first restaurant trip this weekend. So I have a choice 🙂)

I bought this dress from Next. I have lost a couple of stone and all my summer dresses are now too baggy. Previously was size 18-20. When I ordered this I had to send the size 16 back and swop for a 14! Definitely excited about that! Dress is flattering too.

@chocolatesaltyballs22 that bag is gorgeous! I was looking at the Lottie a while ago but wasn’t quite sure of the size difference between the micro and the normal so was waiting to go into an actual shop again.

I really like this, although the colours are more muted in real life.

On the debit side are three Mango dresses that arrived today, which are shit quality and don’t fit in the slightest. Small in the chest and massive on the hips - not a good combo!

DD loved the photos of diamond pendant so am hoping it’s still there when I go back tomorrow - have also found the perfect chain to go with it which I’m sure I can persuade DM to buy
Found a fab cheap swimming costume and 2 bras in Asda yesterday - they are really good for bigger cup sizes - I’m currently 36G due to weight gain and don’t want to pay bravissimo prices until I diet back down to my normal 34G (hopefully soon)

I've just bought these - awaiting delivery. I love linen - It looks so stylish and simple. A lovely new (not S&B related although I find it both stylish and beautiful) World Atlas (I did try getting one in a bookshop in town, I asked the sales guy if they had any in stock, he didn't even know what I meant, I ended up having to ask if they had Google maps in hardback, which they didn't).

I just had this River Island dress delivered but bought on ASOS when they had 20% off a few days ago. It’s lovely and I’m thinking it will go with my new wedges which haven’t had an outing yet. Hurry up summer!

Diamond solitaire pendant for DD upcoming milestone birthday - not the best of photos but it’s a sparkly 1/3 carat stone set in a very plain white gold setting - just need to find a suitable chain - I’m hoping she’ll love it - would you?

I have that dress in a different colour, it’s long. I’m 5ft9 and had to wear it with a small heel. Absolutely beautiful though. Worth the sewing machine coming out.
