In the spirit of the thread we have all seen (and probably commented on) about this board becoming a bit boring, I thought I would spice things up by starting a thread where we could share things bought recently that we are excited about.

Fun purchases only!

I will start. I got this from River Island. Very puffy sleeves but I am a pear shape so the puffiness balances me out. I love the pattern and is it so spring/summer and pretty. I got a pair of roller skates! Yes I'm over 40 and yes I've fallen a couple of times, but I love them!

Told myself I'd dust off the sewing machine if needed but it's here and it's perfect. DH commenting on how much taller I looked. It's so flattering and yes, I'll say it, comfortable.

Oh my word that dress is utter gorgeousness. I haven’t got the life That would require me to wear such a garment but I’d flipping love to have such a life and indeed such a dress!!

I got my first pair aged 50 and had lessons, fell over a few times. Sadly couldn’t afford to keep going while the house was being renovated but must go back if only to justify the expensive skates I bought !

I love those bat (?) wing earrings, I wouldn't know which colour to choose, they all look great.

Some amazing things on here! Love the Silk Fred and Wyse dresses, and adore the Bat wing earrings, they're amazing!

I've been doing a bit of spending - was inspired by Call My Agent (Andrea), all skinny jeans, silk blouses and sharp blazers with stiletto heeled boots. So have bought:

Blazer from Reiss (winter sale, whoop whoop)
Bargain Equipment silk blouse from ebay
Some black skinnies from Zara.
Also some earrings from Other Stories

And after a recent visit to London, a lovely beaded bracelet from Camden Market

Oh and a couple of pairs of Paige jeans - 1 from Nordstrom in the US, and 1 from ebay in the US - in both cases paid more in duties and shipping than the actual cost of the jeans, and they were still less than half the price of buying in the UK. But I know they fit me, and until I can get back to the US in person (October PLEASE), shipping and duties it is!

I also did quite well in Cos the other day with a Breton boxy top, a red and white striped T shirt dress, and a gorgeous blouse. Oh and a new raincoat from North Face, which I haven't taken off since the day I bought it last month...

A small thing really to get excited about, but they're lovely. A pack of six Slip Silk pure silk hair ties (not scrunchies, well actually like small thin scrunchies).

I got this beautiful coat from Sézane and I love it. I feel like a french model when I am walking around.
