In the spirit of the thread we have all seen (and probably commented on) about this board becoming a bit boring, I thought I would spice things up by starting a thread where we could share things bought recently that we are excited about.

I will start. I got this from River Island. Very puffy sleeves but I am a pear shape so the puffiness balances me out. I love the pattern and is it so spring/summer and pretty. I love that Silk Fred dress! I can't justify another dress though, its hard enough to get wear out of the ones I have.

I don't know if this counts as exciting, but its expensive its arriving tomorrow and I both want to love it and wear it with everything (to make summer stuff work in the current March type weather) and want to hate it and send it back as its silly money...

@pineapplecakes I have that bag from zara, I brought it in the sale, it could of been last year or the year before, still have the label on, was going to sell it on ebay but now I'm not sure.

I've just ordered a bright pink saffiano leather passport holder from Aspinal of London. It arrives tomorrow - very excited. Not sure its going to get much use, but when I do get to travel I shall feel reet classy!

I'm so glad I made this thread! I love what people are posting. I'm genuinely surprised people like the puff sleeved top, I have seen them slated in S&B before, saying they are for little girls under 10 only! Maybe the people with those opinions are tactfully keeping quiet.

Mines a bit boring but it's my birthday next week and with birthday money I'm going to buy some new trainers. I'm venturing into the world of barefoot shoes so that will be interesting.

I've also recently bought some Farleigh Slim Mom Jeans from ASOS which are the perfect transition from skinny jeans to mom jeans!

I just bought my first pair of Superga. Loving them so far. For various reasons, I was in the ridiculous situation of having boots or sandals, and nothing in between!!!

Next purchase needs to be jeans that are vaguely fashionable. I went into town today and saw a number of women wearing various versions of bootcut styles - all suitably smart. And I'd like some options for possibly buying mum/boyfriend style jeans too. My local shopping centre doesn't appear to have got the memo re what's fashionable though so might have to wait until I go somewhere with a few more options!

Good luck with the trainers. I'm glad you have found a nice pair of mom jeans, I was mostly gutted that skinnies are on the way out as it's starting the mission of finding the perfect jeans all over again!

@SummaLuvin oh those trousers are 😍 May have to put on my wish list. I'm usually a 34 leg though and I imagine you need those to be on the long side so not sure they'll work for me. I really love the denim ones.

They will definitely work with that top though!

Oohh I might have a look at those ASOS mom jeans. I can’t bare the thought of wearing anything but skinnies but also don’t want to be too unfashionable

I’m also on the lookout for a new work bag. I start a new job in a few months and with only being in the office a few days a week I’m going to need something more sturdy to cart my laptop around in. I’ve been eyeing up some of the Aspinal ones and also debating a LV Neverfull but I just can’t get over how much they’ve increased in price recently.

I've got a few bits from Monki, but they haven't arrived yet.

But, they are a pastel yellow dress, a cream belted coat, blue mules with a lowish block heel and a khaki jumpsuit. Excited to try them on!

Also have a stitch fix box scheduled, but I previewed it today and wasn't that excited about any of it, sadly.

I looked at the preview and told them it was all a bit Mumsy and not really me but then what they’ve sent is all a bit rubbish. It looks like Primark style (printed cami tops and a denim skirt) but very expensive for what they are. There was a nice pair of white trainers but I definitely don’t need another pair so think I’ll return it all.

I signed up to stitch fix! I'm excited to see now they style me and what they'll send.

Ok, well, I'll be prepared to send it all back in that case and will probably do some more of my own shopping! It did look overpriced actually...wonder if it's too late to cancel. Probably!

Ohh, my mobility scooter. It comes tomorrow. I'm determined to use it as soon as possible. I don't. And never have,driven a car, so I'm not confident. But I will do it.I hold the mummsnet collective to hold me to that.

I'm excited and scared in equal measure.

I know that my only hope of getting a degree of independence, is getting on that scooter.

Friday will be the first day I can use it, properly.
