Do people moisturise their whole body after every bath/shower?

Or how often? And if so, with what? Have you any good everyday recommendations that are not too expensive, as I assume it takes a lot of product??
I have got very lazy with lockdown and don't think I have moisturised my whole body in over a year ...

I do! I have really dry skin. I use Nivea lotions.

EversoDelighted · 14/05/2021 19:19

Hardly ever, maybe once a year, my skin just doesn't seem to need it.

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 14/05/2021 19:20

Yes every time I shower I have eczema and very dry skin, it makes a huge difference.

YoComoManzanas · 14/05/2021 19:21

Not after every shower but definately if I have my legs/ arms on show. I use Palmers Cocoa butter or aveeno.
I use it on my face too because it doesn't bring me out in spots.
Skin is better if ive drunk lots of water/ juice rather than tea.

I moisturise twice daily. One of the best pieces of advice I was given by my aunt was ‘if you can reach it, moisturise it’ I’ve followed that advice for over 3 decades!

SwedishK · 14/05/2021 19:28

I do almost the whole body, always lower legs, feet, upper arms, neck and day cream on my face.

PilatesPeach · 14/05/2021 19:29

yes always have since I was a teenager

stealingbeauty · 14/05/2021 19:30

I never do. I don’t use shower gel so I never feel I need to moisturise my body.

whatswithtodaytoday · 14/05/2021 19:30

No, I don't have dry skin. I only moisturise dry bits when I need to.

When I was pregnant my skin went so dry and I had to moisturise every day, so I'm now very grateful for my oily skin!

OneMillionSteps · 14/05/2021 19:32

No, I’ve never felt the need.

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 14/05/2021 19:36

@BeaLola

Yes -twice a day. In morning after my shower and in evening after bath

Variety of body oils & butters - sine cheap , some expensive . I have pretty dry skin - I also like matching product sone times to perfume in daytime

Having a shower and a bath each day is probably why you have dry skin.

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 14/05/2021 19:39

I do either with pure organic coconut oil or Palmers Cocoa Butter. Everywhere

doadeer · 14/05/2021 19:39

I do before bed yes

Triphazard101 · 14/05/2021 19:40

I have oily skin on my face but eczema on my hands and feet. I never moisturise my face, but I use cream on my hands and feet. I've never moisturised my whole body ever!!

Thighdentitycrisis · 14/05/2021 19:41

Yes I mostly use Superdrug Vitamin E in the tub and tinted Dove on my legs in the summer

Fispi · 14/05/2021 19:42

Not every day but several times a week or I get too dry. It's a nice moment of self care too. I vary what I use, usually fairly cheap body moisturisers but recently finishing up a bottle of almond oil thats worked well.

GodolphinHorne · 14/05/2021 19:42

No. I do my legs when they get so dry they’re itchy. Which is quite often in the winter.

QueenPaw · 14/05/2021 19:42

Not always
Use bioderma shower oil, then sanctuary wet skin gel (the clear one)

littleburn · 14/05/2021 19:50

Once a week with Astral cream after my weekly leg shave and exfoliation with a Korean cloth! I use an emollient wash cream day to day which doesn't dry out my skin, so it doesn't need daily moisturising.

Astral is great but very heavy. I couldn't use it every day as it takes a while to sink in, but that and the Korean cloth beforehand leaves me super soft!

Livpool · 14/05/2021 19:55

I do - I love the feeling of being moisturised. I usually like Soap Ans Glory Smoothie Star, Palmer's cocoa butter or the Skinny Tan Moisture Balm

bellabride · 14/05/2021 19:56

Most days, with Cera Ve lotion.
It's very light and easily absorbed, so it's fine before dressing.
Once a week or so, I use the Cera Ve cream instead, at night.

Westfacing · 14/05/2021 20:02

I usually do, unless pushed for time. Use the usual cheapish stuff, E45, Vaseline Intensive Care, Dove, etc.

3CCC · 14/05/2021 20:22

Yes my skin is very dry

Sainsbury's £1.50 for a big bottle. Nice scent easily absorbed not greasy

AsCoolAsKimDeal · 14/05/2021 20:26

Yes, Neutrogena body lotion on wet skin before getting out of the shower - only need two or three pumps.

Chrispackhamspoodle · 14/05/2021 20:40
