Chin hairs

Not sure where to post this but recently I've had two chin hairs. Thick bristly ones like a man. Much darker than the hair I get on my legs etc which are blonde. I plucked them out when I saw them but why am I getting them? I'm 33.

Waxing is good but the period of letting them grow long to be waxed is not fun.

I’m doing electrolysis and they do get finer and hopefully will go away it destroys the root. Thing is I think you do then getting different ones appearing potentially. I was chin hair free for a few years but they back with a vengeance. Plucking is cheaper and easier I guess :-)

Hormonal OP. I’m 54 and have dark hair and have lots of these. Just use tweezers.

I hate to tell you ladies that are insisting that "I pluck a hair out and 2 days later it's grown again."

No. The life cycle of a hair is between 4 and 6 WEEKS. Therefore that "fast growing" hair isn't the same one.....you have more than just one!!

I had to resurrection this thread cos whilst plucking my chin in the car whilst waiting outside the school. I remembered that my friend and I have a pact.. Whoever visits the one in hospital unconscious must take tweezers! Xx

@MrsTerryPratchett

When they are too short to pluck but you can feel them there... aaarrrrggggghhhhhh.
When you go to work with none and come back with two 10ft long ones out of nowhere!
Loubiemoo · 13/05/2021 20:09

Oh and get one of those springy things to remove them.

Not sure where the emoji at the end came from!

I got home earlier after having my vaccination. Took the small sticking plaster off (that was stuck on to soak up the single drop of blood that came out) and noticed that one of my thick, black, bristly chin hairs has now migrated to the top of my arm. It most definitely wasnt there this morning when I slapped the HRT gel on. Its about half an inch long. FFS 🦍

Mine sprouted when I was about 18.

I have a lovely one that sprouts right in the middle of my neck now I’m 47.

I’m basically Acker Bilk.
