Hello again Toasties !!
Here we are again ..Spring has definitely sprung.. and here we are leaving lockdown again (hopefully for the last time) and with any luck planning some social opportunities to wear our lovely stuff actually out somewhere !!

The Aunt Doris dress [ You coined the name @Laska] is quite vintage. I probably like it cause its like my gran's dresses! She used to wear these types all the time!

Bought from toast for the first time and was very excited to receive my items - but alas! I am bang on the measurements for a size ten per the website, but the trousers I bought (on sale - "check cotton linen trousers") are enormous - easily two sizes too big.

If I'm a size X in one pair of trousers will I be a size X for all trousers (for the most part) or is it just pot luck?

@BigHuff - I think the trouser sizes can differ depending on whether they have a fixed or stretch waist.

@faustina Thank you. It is very difficult to gauge the correct size with (usually) only one picture of the item. Wish they'd say what size the model is wearing.

It’s not very consistent @BigHuff I have sizes 6 to 12 in my wardrobe, at least it’s more flexible with dresses. Trousers are a nightmare, I can only buy those in store.

If you put ‘sale’ in search you can see things that you can’t see in sale. Well worked for me. Some older things. So I’ve weakened.
Do we think sale will disappear tomorrow?

@AuldFox I think I should have done more research before buying. I see my mistake now - the trousers are "easy fit", so I should have sized down. 6-12 is a huge size range! There's no Toast shop near me, so I guess thus ends my short-lived career. It's a shame, because the fabrics look lovely.

Love their linen half sleeves. So difficult to find anything else that is similar in other shops and they are so flattering.
I have actually worn my plum jlewis sale one twice already!

Morning all, up early for work, and so blurry eyed was I that when I checked out the Toast website first thing to see if they had a proper listing of all their new things (obviously high priority at 6am) that I just typed "new" into the search bar without meaning to but it does seem to give you all the new things, just in case anyone was feeling impatient !
