I think Philip would be pleased with it.
Very strange feeling as kept expecting Philip to actually be there in person (even though I know he's dead) sat next to HMQ as he's always been there, part of the furniture.

The military precision with the coffin etc was extraordinary.
Everyone looked elegant. I felt for Anne who was obviously struggling to keep it together at one point. A very fitting tribute.

I thought Kate looked utterly elegant.

I agree about Kate, she did look elegant - the pearl necklace is beautiful.

The photo of the Queen all alone in her pew was so poignant.

Did you see the bit at the end when she was walking out and turned slightly to look behind her? He was always there, wasn't he. A few paces behind.

I did have a little gulp when HMQ dipped her wide brimmed hat during the service and I suspect was having a little cry. She looked so tiny and elderly, whereas at Christmas, she was looking amazing and so sprightly.

A very fitting service today, that HRH would have approved of.

HM did look tiny, it was hard to see her in the pew from the overhead shots.

The photos of the queen on her own were so sad! I thought Kate looked beautiful today.

I've enjoyed seeing all the family photos, especially the ones with the grandchildren. They gave an insight into the family man.

Thanks for the new thread. I thought the funeral was lovely, from the music played before the procession started, to the sound of the singing inside the chapel. The Last Post. I liked that the commentary was kept to a minimum and thought the comment about how this was the first and last time the DofE went ahead of the Queen was heartbreaking. What a woman she is. I thought Kate looked amazing in her outfit.

Kate looked perfect. It was lovely to see Sophie put her hand on Kate’s back as they walked. Kate appeared to wipe her eyes with a tissue just before.

I also thought Beatrice looked beautiful, her hair was lovely.

I adored Sophie’s head dress (hat?Headband?),.

Beatrice's hair is so long! The austere look suits Kate.

Did anyone notice Charles limping slightly. He looks like he had a sore hip or something
