Hello, wonderful royal style fans - here's the next thread as the last one will get full soon. Please continue with the great pics, fantastic knowledge and wonderful observations!

I remember the evening they announced Prince William had been born. Dad was watching the football on TV when I think they cut to the newsroom to announce it during half time.

I presume the photographer asked for William to be facing that way and he was trying to launch himself off Charles's lap. It's a tricky age/size to try and get a adult and baby shot too big for the baby in arms hold to unreliable to stay still unheld.

Jumping back in the thread a little, but find yourself someone who looks at you like HMQ looks at a horse

There are some interesting snippets on the BBC today commemorating 100 years since the opening of the Northern Ireland Parliament on 22nd June 1921.
There's a film showing King George V and Queen Mary arriving for the State Opening in Belfast City Hall. Queen Mary is actually smiling, I think that's the first image I've seen of her with a smile! She's wearing a gorgeous hat all pleated and ruched, a style perhaps based on a turban.

The ornate chairs used by the royal couple had once belonged to King Manuel II of Portugal. When he was deposed, he came to live in Twickenham, bringing those chairs with him. Though how they came to be in Belfast no one is quite sure.

I think that's her vaccination photo outfit, or at least the jeans are. They're a departure from her usual skinnies.

Glorious casual outfit from Kate-I love everything except the jacket. Is it me or is it a bit odd looking? Is it a two-tone sleeve or has she got a cardi on underneath?
I have such leg envy, but as I've said before, I bet she doesn't slump on the sofa all evening with a family pack of Haribo

Kate looks good, it is her vaccination outfit plus jacket. It's so nice to see her without the high heels. Also - not skinnies!

The jacket has a ribbed cuff @Eaumyword. I love it - so much so I went and looked it up, hopefully (something I very rarely do!). But alas, it is Chloe, and a long, long way out of my price range.

We're filling up fast, so we need a new thread which I'll start. I'm relying on @TracyBeakerSoYeah to do the link as I appear to be completely incapable....

Ooh, I've had a google too now and honestly, the Chloe jacket still isn't my cup of tea!
She's wearing Veja's though which look great against her jeans. Love her overall look, complete with bouncy hair.

I'm afraid I'm not keen on that jacket at all, especially the colour, which sort of reminds me of fish paste.

Today's blazer is by Chloe and apparently a snip as it's reduced to £1000!

I can’t believe anyone would pay £1000 for that let alone whatever it cost originally. Honestly, designer clothing really is parting fools from their money.
