Hello, wonderful royal style fans - here's the next thread as the last one will get full soon. Please continue with the great pics, fantastic knowledge and wonderful observations!

Thanks, MotherofPearl. Max often wears orange (for obvious reasons!), but I actually like her in the deeper tone, more burnt orange. I love her clutch bag in the second pic.

I think the jewellery was very interesting. I lost my grandma earlier this year. For the funeral I wore the jewellery that connected me to her. A ring she left me and the watch she gave me for my 18th. It was nice to see the royal family doing the same. I found camilla's brooch very touching but Lady Louise was wearing a horse and whip brooch - for the carriage driving presumably - and Im quite glad I only found that out afterwards as it would have been almost too much to know on the day. Poor family. However much you expect it, however ready you are, it's a huge huge loss.

Queen Mathilde, who I've always found a bit dull in terms of fashion, has been winning the royal mask game for the past year!

I agree, Maireas, with the burnt orange on Max. She so suits that sunshiney colour palette of oranges and yellows, but that burnt orange really looks beautiful against her colouring.
Ooh I spy what Mathilde does - clothes are tailor made and masks made from offcuts! Smart move!

MotherofPearl · 20/04/2021 20:07

I know we've said it before on here, but Mathilde but is oddly ageless. She's 48 but has looked the same for years, and I think will still look the same when she's 68!

KillingMeDeftly · 20/04/2021 20:07

I have to say that if I was expecting someone royal to make mask fashion a thing then that someone was Maxima rather than Mathilde!

KillingMeDeftly · 20/04/2021 20:09

@MotherofPearl Princess Anne is a bit like that to me. She's looked more or less the same for 40 years!

I refuse to make masks a fashion thing. I really don't want them to become an established part of our routine like they seem to be in e.g. Japan.

paradyning · 20/04/2021 21:19

I love Max in that orange outfit. Mathilde is oddly frozen and has been for years. She has been sporting the matching mask look since the start of the pandemic.
I like Cam's masks and Kate's ditsy ones!

CliffsofMohair · 20/04/2021 23:09

The lacy masks have a slight air of knickers about them which I find disconcerting

KillingMeDeftly · 21/04/2021 06:52

Kate's masks are cute but some of Camilla's are terrifying!

Crumbs-it's a bit Silence of the Lambs! I'm definitely in favour of having fun with masks and styling them out.
I like Cam's hair there and love that she doesn't take herself too seriously. Her eyes have a naughty twinkle!

At least she is having fun with them!

MotherofPearl · 21/04/2021 19:27

The Duke and DoC have visited an RAF Cadets Squadron today. They're still in mourning of course, so are in black. I am not sure Kate's coat/coatdress is as well-fitted as usual, but she looks lovely as ever.

Looking at it again, I think it's that the top part is too big.

Eaumyword · 21/04/2021 19:33

Do I spot highlights in D of C hair? It does look nice.
I'm brunette and beginning to check out the option of highlights as I'm getting so grey!

AdaColeman · 21/04/2021 19:42

Kate's Dolce & Gabbana coat dress could be black, but Will's suit looks more like dark navy to me. Whatever colour it is, he's wearing someone else's trousers, possibly Boris's.

MotherofPearl · 21/04/2021 20:06

Yes you're right Ada. Though I think his tie is black?

RomainingCalm · 21/04/2021 20:57

I like the fact that Kate has brought out her military style coat for the cadets - in a crazy week it's reassuring that she's consistent.

By no to William's mismatched navy trousers and jacket with black tie and brown shoes. Sorry Will.

KillingMeDeftly · 21/04/2021 21:03

I don't share Kate's love of buttons. Not keen on the look.

LadyEloise · 21/04/2021 23:48

In the third photo Kate looks very like her Mum. I like her coat.
Did William get dressed in the dark ? Smile

FaithHowellsYellowCoat · 22/04/2021 11:13

The neckline with the buttons makes it look quite 80s.

I agree on the brown shoes. Harry seems to wear them with every kind of suit and they look awful.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 23/04/2021 06:36

Prince Louis is 3 today & starting nursery.
Lovely photo taken by Kate.

Love it! Louis seems such a confident and happy little boy.
