Has anyone bought from Chanel at Selfridges Manchester Exchange?

I'm threatening to buy a 2.55 Reissue

My nearest stockist is Manchester Selfridges Exchange Square. Has anyone bought there recently? (lockdown notwithstanding) What was your experience?

If anyone has opinions on the 2.55 itself I'd be glad to hear them too

It's not too busy in hairdos but I wouldn't say it's a very pleasurable shopping experience. Having to queue to get into all the concessions etc. Don't think I'll be rushing back.

I got some cute LV boots and dress but sadly no Chanel today 😝

Ah thanks @Giftwithpurchase I will do! My thinking is that even if they don't have what I want today they might be able to get it in for later in the week, when I rang just before the lockdown they said this was possible, but obviously I haven't been able to get in touch with them in advance this time. I have cleared room in my diary to pop back on Friday if necessary I will cancel everything up to & including my own children to get to Chanel

DH has bought me the occasional Mulberry for significant birthdays etc, but I'm not sure that he'd up his budget by enough for a Chanel!

Maybe if I told him to view it as an investment, not a handbag...

The sales associates are so lovely in Manchester Ex Sq. Nora is particularly lovely, but all of the staff are fabulous. You’ll have a better experience if you go in the week. They are super busy at weekends.
Sally (the manager), Sarah or Nora have usually looked after me. I have quite a few classic flaps but I would love a reissue 2.55. The aged calfskin is so lovely. The sizes are better for the 2.55 also. Have you thought about hardware? Gold or silver/rhodium? Huge congratulations! You’re going to love it. Wear it often but never when it rains!

I should mention, you won’t get a glass of champagne to celebrate your purchase. You only get this at the Bond st boutique while they’re wrapping up your purchase x
