I really like that on you. Your boobs look better in it too.
Can't help with what it's called though, sorry!

pinkandblueflowers · 06/03/2021 17:58

@MiddlesexGirl thanks and no worries yes this is my favourite dress so was thrilled to find it on another colour

First dress: as someone with big boobs, anything empire line (that goes in under the bust) will make you look like a sack of potatoes, Don't buy anything empire line ever again and throw away everything you own in that style.

Second outfit: I am questioning if you are even wearing a bra in that picture? Any way, the shirt is too small for your boobs. Find all the shirts you own that pull across the boobs and throw them away.

Third outfit: that dress pulls in at the waist and skims your hips. You look about 10 stone lighter!

It's the boob dressing that you are getting wrong imo. You need to wear a block colour and no cardigans hanging either side as it just makes you look all boob.

Apologies for the number of times I've mentioned your boobs op Wink

Tomatobear · 06/03/2021 18:02

Nothing wrong with your figure at all!
I think one of those Seasalt tunic tops and a nice pair of jeans would look really nice on you. If you can find that style of tunic top but with a bit more of a v neck to compliment your boobs, I think you would look great!

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 06/03/2021 18:02

You look great in that photo!

ChronicallyCurious · 06/03/2021 18:09

The clothes you are wearing don’t flatter you at all. Burn the first outfit. The second dress is stretching across your boobs and doesn’t fit creating the illusion that you are larger than you are.
Agree with PP you need a proper fitting bra. You look lovely in the last photo, a completely different body shape and not fat. You’re making yourself look a lot bigger with the clothes you are wearing in the first two photos.

pinkandblueflowers · 06/03/2021 18:09

Thank u for all these replies I'm picking up great tips and writing them all down!! But I do need to shift my belly. I've started eating better and doing belly crunches every day but keep having random naughty days which undoes all my good days

RickOShay · 06/03/2021 18:09

The last dress looks great on you. Definitely get more Smile

pinkandblueflowers · 06/03/2021 18:10

@RickOShay what are they called? Send me eBay links if u can pls

OP posts:
ChronicallyCurious · 06/03/2021 18:14

What size are you OP?

sylbunny · 06/03/2021 18:18

If you like that dress, try the Hush Tara. Despite it looking figure hugging it's actually very flattering on my apple shaped figure. There's a lot of dresses in general on hush that I think would be good for you.

I think if your looking for a dress like that you want to search for shirred waist dress.

PaulaMountavon · 06/03/2021 18:21
@sabrinathemiddleagewitch any suggestions as to what shop?
Go to Bravissimo and get a proper fitting.

GreenClock · 06/03/2021 18:24

Your look 20 lbs lighter in the navy dress. Fab!

After seeing the first pic, I thought you were overweight but clearly you’re not - just a bit intoned, like many of us (incl. me!). I honestly think that the first outfit needs to go in the charity shop bag ready for when they reopen - not because posters on here think it’s unflattering, but because you obviously don’t feel ok in it otherwise you wouldn’t have started this thread.

pinkandblueflowers · 06/03/2021 18:30

@ChronicallyCurious no idea lol hut prob about a 14

OP posts:
partyatthepalace · 06/03/2021 18:36

You figure is fine - it’s your clothes in the first picture that aren’t helping. The top and cardi are too baggy, the tights top cardi and shoes are too many random colours and patterns.

A more supportive bra is important, and some better fitted clothes. Second picture looks way better.

ChronicallyCurious · 06/03/2021 18:39

If you have Instagram there’s a lady on there called emilylucyrajch who is a size 14 and has lots of tips for dressing for a midsize body. Even if you don’t like her style you can learn the basics there about good fitting underwear and flattering clothing shapes!

Grinch48 · 06/03/2021 18:40

First outfit - bin or burn along with the horrible vomit inducing tights and trainers
Second outfit - as above

Third outfit - Keep
you look like you have lost 20lbs and although I can’t see your face you look 10 years younger just by your posture
It’s a nice style and flatters your body shape
You look like you have a pair of fab legs in picture 3
Get a proper bra fitting done and invest in a few decent bras
You look like your quite a short ass 😂so wearing trainers and flat shoes will make you look like Humpty Dumpty especially with a big belly just don’t

Get wedges or something with small heel at least
Trainers are only to be worn if your going to work out or at least looking like your going to work out or with a nice pair of jeans 😂

But If your going to wear trainers with a dress then you need to have the right body shape and the right dress to do it in a flattering way

Reinventinganna · 06/03/2021 18:45

The third picture is really nice.

Trainers are for training Wink

diddl · 06/03/2021 18:46

I quite like the first dress tbh.

Not with the cardi, tights or trainers & with a better bra.

Hard to tell from the angle I think.

Last dress looks a lot better.

Sometimes I wear stuff that I like & feels comfortable though.

Coriandersucks · 06/03/2021 18:48

Going slightly off here but someone mentioned the boob or bust method - how accurate is this? Only I’ve just typed in my measurements and it’s saying I should be a 30h - I’ve always worn a 38c. That seems like a big difference.

Anyway op as everyone else says there is absolutely nothing wrong with your figure. Good posture and clothes can help so much and a good fitting bra which I’m realising I clearly have wrong too!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/03/2021 18:50

@pinkandblueflowers

I love this kind of dress photo below but it's hard to find that style Altho I did find the exact same one on eBay but in green which I've ordered and am very excited about. What are these type of dresses called?
Gorgeous!
kereh · 06/03/2021 18:52

The first two pictures look like a 50 year old. I can't believe it's the same woman as your other thread with your face showing, as you're clearly much younger!

Going off the difference I'd say you suit darker block colours it gives a much better silhouette.

pinkandblueflowers · 06/03/2021 18:53

Ok so I quite like this next style of dress for summer does it suit me? And yes without the long cardigan I'm learning tonight lol

OP posts:
skeenskeenjellybean · 06/03/2021 18:55

I always think you should stick with what you are comfortable in and what you love, but there are lots of good ideas on this thread so you can maybe change things up a little. The dark dress in the last pic looks great on you. I think they call those "flutter sleeves"? Someone with more clue than me will know. IMO there's nothing wrong with trainers with most things, but I'd have a look at how people are styling them for ideas of what kinds of trainers go with what.

AliceMcK · 06/03/2021 19:07

Decent fitted bra, stand up straight and a wardrobe makeover with more flattering clothes and you will feel like a new person. We may feel more comfortable in loose fitting clothes and comfy shoes but they honestly do do anything to flatter our figures (I'm a lot lot bigger than you). You dont have to wear big heels but a little lift can make a huge difference to our heights and shape.

Right now I'd love your figure x Get looking online in the sales and experiment with some new styles x
