@kereh

What the bleeding hell is this thread.

Why would you stand on your untidy bed in a room full of clutter to pose for a picture?

I thought the same thing about the first photo.
doadeer · 08/03/2021 18:57

The picture in the red dress, do you have abdominal separation? Do you know how to check for it?

TheBossOfMe · 08/03/2021 19:09

You should definitely see your GP - any waist size above 34.5inches is classified as potentially leading to serious health issues.

www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/lifestyle/why-is-my-waist-size-important/

So you need to rule out underlying health issues that may be causing this, and if it is just diet and lack of exercise causing it, then they can help you with addressing it.

pinkandblueflowers · 08/03/2021 20:56

@doadeer no idea what that even is

doadeer · 08/03/2021 21:14

www.pregnancybirthbaby.org.au/abdominal separation

It can cause your stomach to bulge. You need to see a physio and do specific exercises if so. You can feel for it yourself
@Loopyloututu2 perhaps Altho I have been eating so much junk. A 5 pack of mini batten bergs every day for 2 weeks, sometimes 2 cans of red bull a day, on Friday morning I ate a whole pack of biscuits. So I'm guessing it's my own fault lol
Seriously? A 5 pack of mini battenburgs is 655 calories and over 100g sugar. You are using a third of you daily calories recommended intake on a box of cakes!

I’d suggest cutting out the crap, and worry about measuring for bras and choosing summer dresses once the weight drops off.

JollyGreenGiantess · 09/03/2021 08:57

Daily calories if you’re 5 foot is closer to 1500 or thereabouts. Have a look at TDEE calculator to work our metabolic requirements.

pinkandblueflowers · 11/03/2021 12:11

I'm back with an update for the H&M petrol colour dress that someone suggested and put a link to. I'm aware I need to sort my bra out once shops open but apart from that any thoughts/feedback,

Nice! But why aren't you cold?😄

Loopyloututu2 · 11/03/2021 15:18

I think that style suits you much better OP - thumbs up from me!

pinkandblueflowers · 11/03/2021 15:51

@randomer I am cold but I'm inside. When I go out I wear tights

pinkandblueflowers · 11/03/2021 15:53

Also I took another pic of me in the original pink dress but without the cardigan or tights, does it suit me now?

Ahhh OP, long time no see Grin

You look lovely in both dresses unlike your unmade bed 😂

ShrikeAttack · 11/03/2021 23:51

Make your bloody bed @pinkandblueflowers.

Honestly.

Why do you keep taking photos in a disastrously messy house whilst worrying about dresses?

I really do think you're focusing on the wrong thing.

I remember that young children are really hard and it's really hard to think about yourself sometimes, but the level of mess in your house, I think you're focusing on the wrong thing, where's your husband and why isn't he helping you tidy up (I've seen a giant shoe in the kitchen, so there's a bloke around).

Why isn't he helping you?

I am getting a vibe from you OP that you're dissembling, and this isn't really about dresses.

Because you got great dress advice last time.

Reinventinganna · 12/03/2021 07:32

You take the most bizarre photos.
Agree with @ShrikeAttack tidy up! You won’t feel good about yourself in anything if you are surrounded by chaos.

Glitterandglow · 12/03/2021 07:53

Hi OP I like the first H&M dress the fabric looks like it skims the body more if you see what I mean.
I think it would help you to focus on your health and diet rather than worry too much about clothes right now as previous posters have said also check for diastasis recti. I really recommend Pilates for excercise it’s great for core strength and from my experience helped flatten my stomach.

Try to get the house tidy and maybe do some home workout videos if you can find time I know it’s hard with little ones.

MoltonSilver · 12/03/2021 08:09

If a man posted photos on a forum no one would be telling him to clean his house.

I would.

Horrible isn’t it? As are the patronising tips about cleaning.

(I've seen a giant shoe in the kitchen, so there's a bloke around).

Sorry but that me laugh Grin

Frequentflier · 12/03/2021 10:59

I don't care about the mess, but I do find it odd the stream of photos with face not obscured.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 12/03/2021 11:16

I would and in all likelihood in harsher terms than I would with a woman tbh.

Have you thought about a career as a detective? 😂

waterlego · 12/03/2021 12:09

Re belly fat (sorry if the convo has now moved on past that- I skim-read): Adapting your diet and cutting down on junk/processed foods is excellent. But crunches will not make much of a difference- you can’t ’spot reduce’ when it comes to fat, so core exercises won’t shift belly fat. You need a mix of cardio exercise and weight/body weight exercises. Anything that gets your heart rate up will burn calories and that is what will reduce the amount of fat on and in your body.

Core exercises are brilliant for posture and functional strength but won’t on their own reduce the size of your tummy.

S111n20 · 12/03/2021 12:12

Both dresses look lovely 😊
