Love that stripy dress on you, looks lovely Grin

SugarfreeBlitz · 06/03/2021 21:51

Personally I think you look fine! If you wanted a more flattering look you could opt for a more supportive bra, as many have said. I would also choose a darker dress/tunic with an interesting print and a bright cardigan.
I saw you called your photo "large". Sad I think you have generous boobage that many must be envious of, but I can't see your "big" stomach or arms. I think we all feel bad about ourselves, tbh. Try to get some help to learn to love yourself because you're going to be in that body for the rest of your days Flowers

Op you forgot to colour in your face!

SugarfreeBlitz · 06/03/2021 22:29

I'm guessing this is your first baby? I expected to snap straight back in my jeans after my first but could not do them up. Bought a larger size and felt rubbish, then started wearing leggings and long tops or dresses like you. Your baby is not very old and I don't know if you have a Caesarian scar but if you don't perhaps you could do some sit ups. It can take a few years for the body to get back to normal after having a baby, so please be kind and patient to yourself like you would be to a friend.

This thread needs to go into classics. Comedy gold Grin

thelake · 06/03/2021 22:35

Bra help and less butch posture would help. Nothing wrong at all!

thelake · 06/03/2021 22:38

I think v neck dresses look good but perhaps I a slightly longer length.

KittensTeaAndCake · 06/03/2021 22:38

@SugarfreeBlitz

Op you forgot to colour in your face!

I thought she had deleted the previous post because her face was in it. But apparently not.

pinkandblueflowers · 06/03/2021 22:48

You've not got a bad figure. You look like you have slim legs, can't tell what kind of waist you have because of the smock style dress. The 'empire line' top draws attention to your boobs (seam under the norks) - I'd steer away from them if I was you as they'll make you look top heavy. A shorter top, length wise, means we see more of your legs, and a shorter sleeve on your tops (say, elbow length to mid forearm) would draw attention to your wrists which are usually quite slim and delicate looking. The loose cardi looks like you're hiding, and visually makes you look bigger than you are, so you might want to go for a more tailored jacket/cardi, with a slightly nipped in waist. Your shoulders look small, and round, so as for tops, you might want to try a boat neck, or bateau style top, as that will draw the eye to the soft, feminine parts and make your boobs less of a feature.

SugarfreeBlitz · 07/03/2021 02:19

The reason I thought first baby is that you seem really anxious about MumTum and we all have one that we have grown to accept, well I have,

yaboo · 07/03/2021 02:22

okay, just seen the other pictures too: you've got lovely arms, you're not fat at all, and you're dressing in that first picture way too old! The high necked dress (crew neck) looks lovely on, too. I'd say stay away from V-necks and anything that cuts your boobs in two, visually. I'd say be wary of wrap dresses, too, as they're a pain in the arse to get them to fit right over big boobs, and you'll just look more busty. The stripy number in the third photo looks good, too.

Builtthiscityontoiletrolls · 07/03/2021 05:42

To me you seem like an Apple shape. So you’re not big, you just carry your weight in your boobs and belly. I could be wrong? Just from the pics I see. So get a well fitted bra and have a look on insta and stuff for Apple shaped fashion. If I’ve got that wrong have a look at different body shapes and how to dress them. It’s made a difference for me.

XiCi · 07/03/2021 07:54

I'm very confused by these photos. They're very clearly different people. Different hair colours and length, unless the photos are taken many years apart?

XiCi · 07/03/2021 07:57

So the exact opposite of everything usually recommended for bigger busts then Confused

lightlypoached · 07/03/2021 08:22

Yes to better bra, but a better bra won't fix how you are felling about yourself in the longer term.

You're only 7 months post Partum and many of us have a bit of a body crisis at some point after birthing. Part of it is about accepting (and wondering at!) what your incredible body has done and that you'll never look quite the same again, and for me, the other was making sure that I took myself in hand to lose the extra middle and start to feel firmer and , in a way, reclaiming my body for me.

So yes to a new bra, but yes also to looking after yourself, eating well and ditching the junk, doing some brisk walking with the pram every day, some yoga maybe. Bloody hard with little kids but you'll feel so much better in the long term. Having. Bigger middle so soon after birth is OK, having it in 6 months is not - it's a key diabetes risk factor.

And I concur, I bet there's a fabulous hour glass figure under there just waiting to come out and be gorgeous!

IndecentFeminist · 07/03/2021 08:38

Try measuring yourself for a bra, boob or bust particularly good

pinkandblueflowers · 07/03/2021 08:43

@XiCi same person but I had a hair cut recently

Your legs are great, if mine were like yours I wouldn’t hide them with dresses and long cardies! I think you need fitted for a bra, I’m also ‘blessed’ with a large chest and it is difficult to dress, but hauling it up a bit will help! Only volunteering this as you’ve asked, but your outfit doesn’t do anything for you and is really mismatched - there’s nothing wrong with your body. I think you’d look nice in a pretty blouse, jeans and ankle boots or pointed flats.

RickOShay · 07/03/2021 10:10

I agree with @XiCi
I am an apple with big boobs. I avoid wrap dresses like the bloody plague. They emphasis precisely the bits you want to minimise. Shift dresses all the way.

pinkandblueflowers · 07/03/2021 10:23

@IrisW so u think jeans not dresses?

I've taken everyone's advice bit by bit so far and today's dress is same style as yesterday but without the cardigan or pink tights and I can actually see I have nice arms too

Gonna invest in wedges once the shops open and still looking for my tape measure to measure my boobs online once that's done and I've ordered new bras (prob a few weeks) I'll come back and do an updated pic

Thank u so much everyone for all the advice etc so far

@pinkandblueflowers

I’ve only just now seen your other photos and you look lovely in these dresses! If I were you I’d be showing off my legs with shorts etc, mine are like a pair of milk bottles. You have a lovely, lovely figure - I don’t think your first photo does it credit and it’s perhaps just how the outfit has been styled that doesn’t do it for me. Wedges will look great with your dresses and jeans x

SugarfreeBlitz · 07/03/2021 11:18

I need a nice pair of wedges too! Any ideas where to get nice ones?

The stomach could be just a lack of muscle tone or poor posture. If you do exercises to build up your core muscles, you will burn more calories and also feel better about yourself.
