I bought my usual Astral cream today which I've used for 25 years.. Just dawned on me if anyone else uses retro beauty products still 😊

Was just going to say Astral. And blue Nivea.

StepOutOfLine · 18/02/2021 21:41

Glycerin and Rosewater toner from Boots.

Youngatheart00 · 18/02/2021 21:42

I still have a bit of a soft spot for a juicy tube!

And st Ives apricot scrub

Both very early 2000s

Pebbledashery · 18/02/2021 21:43

Juicy tube! Haven't seen one of those in doooonkeys

I have a couple of minis that were gifts with my usual Lancôme mascara and foundation.

I used to be on handbag.com beauty boards eons ago and they had proper cult status - I can still remember the shade names!! My favourite was ‘chilled’ but remember ‘framboise’ and ‘pampoulmousse’ amongst others!

Also still love the smell (and effectiveness) of Aussie 3 minute miracle, a similar era

rawalpindithelabrador · 18/02/2021 21:55

Nars the multiple sticks.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 18/02/2021 21:57

It's not really retro but I've been using Liz Earle Skin Tonic for the last 18 years.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 18/02/2021 22:06

@Youngatheart00 I had the Juicy Tube In Framboise. In fact I might still have the original somewhere in my old but can't quite get rid of as too sentimental make up stash.
I was also a Handbagger too!

Diamondella · 18/02/2021 22:10

Not retro but I’ve gone back to using Clinique 3 step, it went out of fashion for a long time, people used to say the clarifying lotion was like nail varnish remover etc, anyway I hadn’t used it since a teenager last time was 1998 my sisters wedding , but randomly bought some and my skin had been really nice since, the clarifying lotion is nowhere near as strong as it used to be and the dramatically different moisturizer is really nice for dry skin, don’t used the soap bar yet as I’m still using Elemis gentle foaming cleanser which I love. Also love nivea soft .

Bubbinsmakesthree · 18/02/2021 22:15

I’ve tried all kinds of fancy hair products but I’ve never found anything to rival vitapointe conditioner

Wedlock · 18/02/2021 22:17

Even reading the words 'astral cream' is making my eyes itch. Have such a bad reaction to that stuff.

Pebbledashery · 18/02/2021 22:19

I actually noticed an Astral body wash in Superdrug this week.

I love Maybelline mascara! Not the super retro Great Lash but I've been using Maybelline mascaras since I was a teen. Can never find a fancy one I like, wasted a lot of money trying Grin

CrazyFoxLady · 18/02/2021 22:21

Ponds cold cream. Apparently it's back in fashion now too - I love it!

Fozzleyplum · 18/02/2021 22:21

I use glycerin and rosewater, Nivea blue at night and Nivea Soft during the day. I've tried so many high-end moisturisers in my time, but these 3 used in combination are the best I've used and don't irritate my skin and eyes.

Onwednesdayswewearblack · 18/02/2021 22:23

Blue nivea, also love ponds cold cream for cleansing, buts it's got quite expensive since Kylie jumped on the bandwagon.

InsideNumberNine · 18/02/2021 22:26

Sun In spray 🙈🙈

CommanderBurnham · 18/02/2021 22:37

Exaggerate eyeliner by Rimmel for 25 years.
I recently stopped using Aussie 3 minute miracle - been using that for 20 years plus.
Body shop blue clay mask. 20 years approx
God I'm set in my ways.

Mrstumbletap · 18/02/2021 22:48

@InsideNumberNine I remember that! Does it still work? Does it make your hair orange or does it actually go lighter?

KirstenBlest · 18/02/2021 23:04

Nivea Soft.
Chap Stick and Carmex.

MrDarcysMa · 18/02/2021 23:11

Badedas

AprilThe8th · 18/02/2021 23:18

Max factor creme puff pressed powder

skippetyskoo · 18/02/2021 23:19

Fenjal!

NotMeNoNo · 18/02/2021 23:20

@AprilThe8th

Max factor creme puff pressed powder
Exactly this. In my collection of vintage compacts. Can't be doing with this dewy look.
Pebbledashery · 18/02/2021 23:21

Ponds cream! Ah yes.
I remember my mum having that. And also bottles of Yardley perfume.
