I bought my usual Astral cream today which I've used for 25 years.. Just dawned on me if anyone else uses retro beauty products still 😊

Loving this thread

I also buy my children MR MATEY bubble bath because I had it as a child and it smells amazing and is really lovely and bubbly - I'm 40 so consider that to be a "retro" item

Redruby2020 · 19/02/2021 22:43

@Pebbledashery

Juicy tube! Haven't seen one of those in doooonkeys
Yes! Was just going to say the same!
Pebbledashery · 19/02/2021 22:44

My daughter made me buy a bottle of matey a few weeks ago. It's never been used as I shower her not bath.. Currently just used as a bath toy 🤣

Astral has been my go to for as long as I can remember. I've been a very loyal customer!

Not actually using it now, but another great one came to mind, is ten o six, remember that stuff?! You can still buy it I have seen it in the Afro Caribbean hair/beauty shops.

Redruby2020 · 19/02/2021 22:48

@CommanderBurnham

Exaggerate eyeliner by Rimmel for 25 years. I recently stopped using Aussie 3 minute miracle - been using that for 20 years plus. Body shop blue clay mask. 20 years approx God I'm set in my ways.
Yes but you know what they say, if you find something you like stick with it, I've gone and got different stuff in the past and always annoyed with myself afterwards as I think why did you bother, when it hasn't worked or caused a reaction etc.

Omg I've ordered 2
You can "virtually" try them on

dP just said "why🤣"
I said I had them as a teenager

He proceeded to tell me nobody is going to see my mouth for quite come time as I will be wearing a mask 😷

I'll just save them I'm excited about them

Supersimkin2 · 19/02/2021 22:55

Black Honey lipgloss stick, Clinique. Still the only truly invisibly-a-lot-better-than-nature lips I’ve ever had.

ThirdOne · 19/02/2021 22:57

Nivea blue - every day!
Elnett hairspray
Vaseline
Max Factor creme puff pressed powder

Melange99 · 19/02/2021 23:01

I occasionally use Anne French cleansing milk. Sure shifts the grime.

Nivea Soft - a great all rounder. I use as a body lotion or sometimes as a face moisturiser.

Badedas, brilliant in winter. I imagine I am in Finland when I use this.

Fenjal, unrivalled bath oil. So comforting and moisturising, lovely fragrance.

Radox Salts, feeling poorly, have a bath in this.

Interested that Aapri is still on the go. Loved that stuff.

I have just bought some vitapointe, but don't understand it's idol status.

Melange99 · 19/02/2021 23:03

@Anjelika Is there a new Juicy Tube similar to Chilled. ?

DodgeRainClouds · 19/02/2021 23:46

Max factor creme puff powder and Simple Cleanser

JackieeWeaver · 19/02/2021 23:55

Love this thread, thanks OP Smile a few I'd forgotten about but will try!

Anjelika · 20/02/2021 09:21

@Melange99 Hallucination would be the nearest to Chilled I think.

Deux · 20/02/2021 09:42

I still use Vosene shampoo, like a PP probably just once a week. I’ve tried so many concealers over the year but always come back to Rimmel Hide the Blemish.

Anyone used to use Cornsilk powder and found a good alternative? Can’t believe they discontinued it.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/02/2021 12:01

Not retro but I've used Aveda Shampure for years .(well over 20 years)
It's £50+ for a litre but lasts me a year (even with DS helping himself !)

Alternate with BodyShop Ginger if my scalp is being stroppy and Paul Mitchell for a change .

Also got a BodyShop Beech lip liner thats 25+ years old (same one) so very retro Grin

rc22 · 20/02/2021 12:47
