We used to have one of these and it was fab!

It was vaguely for size 18+, but I know a 5 foot size 16 is not the same as a 6 foot one, so don't think it needs to be strict.

Anyway, if anyone would like to join me they'd be v welcome.

FWIW, I'm a tall size 18, apple shape.

Still in my PJs . Then going out for a walk / run (stating C25K again).

It’s one item styled three different ways. Preferably an item you don’t wear very much or a well worn item styled in 3 ways you haven’t tried before. Hopefully we will discover great new styles from items we already have.

Went out in my jeans and hoody today, spring may be in sight! I have battled through winter with a coat that has become very snug with lockdown bulge, it was nice to be able to breath again lol.

Myshitisreal I don't actually own any dungerees any more; I've moved so many times, I don't think I own anything from 25 years ago, and I was significantly slimmer in my student days and 20s so nothing would fit even if I did

Maybe I'll get some though... Have decided not to buy anything else until its properly late spring though - will try my summer stuff on at the end of April and if it's all too big order a few things I have my eye on

Ok - am going to try the Saturday style challenge on a Monday afternoon:

Size EU 48 (20?) dress/ tunic bought for a christmas party I never actually got to attend when DC3 was a baby.

Picture 1 with bare legs and white Nwxt trainers pretending to be suitable for spring.

Picture 2 with uniqlo heattech trousers, size L, which I bought for DD to go to a winter interview in but they were comically too large so I stole them (don't worry I bought her better ones which actually fit her) and an ancient well worn cardigan from H&M, and even older ankle boots from I know not where, but I think I bought them in the UK pre DC2 and 3...

Look 3 with snag tights and heels (the heels are older than all my children, bought at least 16 years ago and not worn out in at least a decade I used to love them living in London pre kids).

Very much not my usual way of dressing, and all (except the trainers) stuff Ive had lurking in the wardrobe years and years.

Just been too town and am wearing dotty p pink oversize joggers ,fitted s Oliver navy t shirt and oversized fleece although I it isn't supposed to be oversized it one of my giant of a son's one before he out grew it and puma trainers.

Oh very nice @UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme! I like the bare legs and also the one with heels best .

@Myshitisreal, I like your colours and prints again!! Your wardrobe must be so brightly coloured!

It does feel as if spring might be almost on the way... I went out yesterday and it was positively balmy. Today it's a bit cooler, but not bad at all, so 🤞.

Hi Paris, I like that colour. I never have the courage to tuck anything in - never did, even when I was fairly slim in my 20s. I think its partly because I was convinced I was tubby as a child and teen (thanks mum) when I wasn't really, so never tucked my school uniform in! However I also suspect tucking isn't flattering to my shape as my waist isn't the area I want to draw attention to no matter what size I'm at - its always proportionally relatively thick and I'm better drawing attention to almost any other area. I guess I'll never do that French tuck look, but it looks good on you!

I'm in a navy thin turtleneck jumper and blue next jeans today, but its so similar to other things I've posted it doesn't seem worth a photo (I just stood up and held my phone up to see if I could lazily do a selfie without a mirror and without showing my face, and discovered that by simply moving my arm to different angles and positions I can produce a fun house hall of mirrors range of alternating body shapes... never really done selfies before taking them for this thread) I didn't actually press the button to take a photo though .

The photos I took yesterday confirmed my belief that dresses with trousers also do not work on me - great on Divebar, not great on me! I think I might wear heels more though, at least heeled boots, and have been looking at midi denim skirts and dresses for late spring/ summer...

@UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme the look with the trousers was my favourite one you looked great in all of them though, and what a fab dress.

So I was trying not to buy anything new but the lockdown weight is creeping. I just wanted some things that were not slightly too tight. I got a couple of these v neck t shirts in the sale section on EMP, this purple and a muted grey. I also got a couple of Hobbs tops for work off Ebay that I will show you tomorrow as I'm off down to the big smoke :)

Morning. This is a Boden skirt I bought in the sale in anticipation of last spring. Not worn it before. Very glad it still fits! Top is from Violetta. Also new.

Planning another go at breaking in the new boots today before giving in and taking them to the cobblers to get them stretched properly but am still in my slippers at the moment.

Yes, oh lockdown, you bastard. I have gained weight too. Definitely being healthier than I was and feeling a bit better for it, but progress is slow! You look fine to me though! I know what it's like when you're aware yourself.

Hi everyone, thanks for all your feedback yesterday! @Divebar2021, I will definitely try some different shoes with the jumpsuit. At the moment it's not looking quite right...I'm not sure if that shape is going to work for me.
@UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme, I love that dress with the heels..... @ParisJeTAime I like the tucked in look, I can't ever pull that off because I'm very pear shaped.

Today I'm wearing a bargain from the Toast sale. It has the look of my granny's housecoat 🤣. I think I'm going to get it altered to put some darts in to give it some shape around the waist....

myshitisreal Thanks for the dress photo. I am learning so much about clothes. Because I am very apple, I don’t think side ties would be my friends, although I wish it was different , I like the look of a waist!
Divebar my boots come tomorrow and if they fit, I will wear them with everything, but especially dresses and skirts because I hate tights.

I am wearing a new jumper from H&M, which has no back, so I have a toning vest underneath. Quite like it. And ancient DKNY velour trackies, so comfy.

No you can wear dresses over trousers you just have to find the right cut. I think you just had the wrong combination ( the trousers were too flared I think .... you needed a skinnier trouser ) I look for straighter shapes I think. I liked the first look with the trainers and I liked the third look with the tights but I wanted the arms covered too ( this might be my preference but if it’s cold enough for tights I wouldn’t want my arms out). A fitted blazer or leather jacket for example but not too long. I don’t know why I’m spouting this I’m sitting here with a book called The Curated Closet trying to work out what my style is exactly.

I like that dress but I wish I could see you moving in it.... these static photos are necessary but they’re not always very easy to see clearly. I always think I look waaaaaay better in real life 😂. I like loose dresses .... it may look good a bit more fitted but if it’s from Toast the quality will be good. I’d be cracking open my DM shoes with that and I think Paris would go for her non gothic boots so it will be interesting to see what shoes you’d go for.

I also love loose dresses, like alpha's today. Not sure they 100% suit me, but they are great to wear, so wear them I do , and I love them on other people. Think that one looks lovely!

livingdead, oh God, I hear you on the lockdown weight creep! Maybe this is the beginning of the end though and we can actually go back to a version of normal soon 🤞. Also, spring is on its way I think! So, I'll be less inclined to park myself in the house, a few metres from the fridge at all times .

I really like those jeans @ParisJeTAime. I keep wavering between whether I need even need jeans or not. Haven't had a pair for years but those look like they have a fairly narrow leg which I like.

Leggings, Uggs, tunic today so I'm less springlike even though the weather is even more springlike. I've thrown all the windows open and as expected it's a bit chilly but lovely so I've chosen my warmer outfit well. Makes a change! I've a bunch of Tesco £1 daffs on my desk which smell lovely - as opposed to the ones that smell of wee and I'm daring to hope that our Greek holiday rebooked from last year might just go ahead. Just as excited at the thought that I could possibly get to wear my lovely holiday clothes. I'll have calmed down by tomorrow.

Thanks, these are my favourite jeans at the moment. They are straight leg with a bit of stretch, so super comfy.

Today I'm wearing a jigsaw cream denim skirt (16) from their Christmas sale and a jigsaw knitted top size L from a few years ago. The brogues are what I might wear if I was going out for any reason (sadly stuck inside on Teams all day...)
