We used to have one of these and it was fab!

It was vaguely for size 18+, but I know a 5 foot size 16 is not the same as a 6 foot one, so don't think it needs to be strict.

Anyway, if anyone would like to join me they'd be v welcome.

FWIW, I'm a tall size 18, apple shape.

Still in my PJs Blush. Then going out for a walk / run (stating C25K again).

It is what I would call Balters (Baltic) here at the moment! I don't remember winter being this cold. But maybe it's because I can't go anywhere indoors.

We are both in Breton stripes today then @GreyHare! I love your top and colour choices. I can never find tops long enough these days, as a lot seem to be cropped versions. Maybe I need to go shopping in Next, 6 years ago!

This top is a second generation one that I found on eBay to replace the one that fell apart but I do have two of them and two pairs of the trousers as if I find something I love I will buy multiples, thankfully I'm short so most tops are a good length on me, It is chilly here but being of a certain age I have a faulty body temp gauge that keeps overheating 🙁

Tagging in, nice to see this thread back.

Size 16 usually but more an 18 with lockdown I'd say. Have started doing pilates 3 times a week to try feel a bit better and to fit back into my jeans.

Wearing size L Tesco pjs today which were bought for Christmas. Love them. Lounge pant style, not tight at the waist (I have sensory issues with clothing) and lovely and fluffy and warm. Don't think anyone needs to see my pjs 😂

Received a delivery of my snags. Their 120 denier tights are lovely and thick and a great fit. I also bought 2 pairs of woolen ones after being bought a pair as a gift. Must open them. Didn't think i would ever wax lyrical about tights but they're worth the money after buying countless pairs on ebay, only to not be able to get them past my knees.

Love seeing the outfits and everyone's styles ♥

ParisJeTAime · 11/01/2021 17:28

Woolly snags you say?! They sound amazing. I haven't been able to wear dresses or skirts lately as it has been so cold!

I'm pleasantly surprised with these new jeans btw, (the ones I'm wearing). They have a smidgen of stretch to them and they are comfy. This is the first time I've worn straight cut in a while and I have to say I find them a lot better on my ankles than skinnies. I will keep hold of my jeggings and skinnies for under long boots, but otherwise I think these might be a better shape for me.

Hello again all - loving the pics, will be pinching inspiration for sure! A parcel came for me yesterday and it was a jumper I order from Debenhams about 3 weeks ago. A gorgeous, soft, grey v-necked jumper which I've worn today and loved. Worn with my usual leggings and boots. I'd love to branch out a bit and try some different styles, but so self conscious at the moment and, unfortunately, the market is limited in size 24 :(

ParisJeTAime · 12/01/2021 09:23

gnomes, yy, I think shops are getting better at being more 'size inclusive', but I know once you get to a 22+ there seems to be less choice. I hope that changes, as there is clearly a market for nice clothes in bigger sizes!

I love All Saints clothes and have money to spend there, but some of their stuff seems to go up to a 14 and that's it. Meh, their loss really.

Anyway, not sure this outfit is worth posting really, but in the interest of the thread title and just having some accountability when it comes to not looking a total scruff....here I am! I had an online yoga class first thing this morning, so got straight into this and am staying in it!

Navy leggings: Sinophant (the plus version)
Longline fitted tank top: M&S (if anyone comes across any of these on their website, please tell me! They are the best for me, as they are actually a good length, but I can't find them)
Burgundy top: some Amazon brand (XXL)

Morning, I am impressed you have finished your yoga class. I am just heading for a shower after a slow start to home school today.

ParisJeTAime · 12/01/2021 10:17

I haven't showered Blush. Dragged my bum out of bed at quarter to eight for 8 o'clock class and just washed face and teeth! I'll have one this evening or maybe even have a bath.

How is home school going dark? Are yours quite little or older ones? We have little ones. One not at preschool yet, but due to start next term, all being well. The older one is year one. Half her class seems to be in school this week which is difficult to explain to her, but she gets it I think.

OP posts:
SoDiorDarling · 12/01/2021 10:24

@ParisJeTAime it's so hard on the little ones. I have a 6year old and he's in due to being classed as vulnerable but he's not enjoying it with no buddies to cause carnage with!

I can't upload a pic today as I look a MESS. Same SB leggings as yesterday and a very stained cream sweatshirt that I've just spilt coffee down Grin

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 12/01/2021 10:30

Currently size 16/18 ish, not really sure as dieting and struggling now can't fry clothes on in shops.

Wearing a pair of new look baggy black joggers which slip down a bit when I walk and a long sweater from next with thumb holes for added wrist comfort.

I look slobby 😂

ParisJeTAime · 12/01/2021 10:33

It really is hard on them dior, even more so for the ones who are vulnerable. I'm so glad they are able to go in to school! I don't think any of the other school parents at our school would send them unnecessarily, which definitely makes it easier. None of what you see mentioned on some of the Coronavirus Board threads! Although I sometimes need to avoid that whole board for the sake of my sanity Flowers.

My dd is also 6 Smile. In year one.

Home school is a mixed bag so far, DD9 is missing her friends but we have regular FaceTime with some. She’s ok with the work, however it’s a huge workload for this environment. DD16 has had one online class and the system crashed so LA are ‘working on it’. Feel they have had months to prepare a decent infrastructure for the poor teachers to use.
But on the other hand they are home, safe and healthy.

Hope everyone else is surviving, it’s harder to explain to really little ones Sad.

Yes, it's the lack of any effort on the part of the government to make schools safer so they don't have to keep closing. It seems as if they haven't bothered their arses. Great if you're BJ and can afford nannies, tutors and private education. They seem to have minimal insight into state education, which is a shame since they are allegedly running the show. I am not a Tory voter and never have been, (can you tell?), but I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt till recently and now I'm Angry. Bet they're shaking in their boots that im not a fan Wink, but you know.

@ParisJeTAime I like that layered look and the red top is nice

ParisJeTAime · 12/01/2021 11:13

Yes, back to the clothes! I am prone to political rants, so do feel free to tell me to shut up Grin.

Thanks tinkywinky! Yes, I'm a big fan of layers too. I need it at the mo, although it's a good bit warmer today.

Bouledeneige · 12/01/2021 11:29

I'm all a bit navy today. Size 16/18. Navy joggers and navy merino v neck sweater both from M&S.

WFH and a bit bored!

Bouledeneige · 12/01/2021 11:43

I'm also wearing big scarf. As you can see I'm a dummy apple. hoping to improve my diet and exercise a bit this year to improve on it!

Dumpy as well as a dummy

ParisJeTAime · 12/01/2021 11:51

I wear a lot of navy too boule. You do not look dumpy or dummy Smile! I also have hair envy.

Deathraystare · 12/01/2021 12:22

Ha Ha no one would want to copy my style today.

I was called out of bed to cover a colleague. I am in the middle of moving so most of my clothes are packed. I have some trousers and tops but haven't washed them yet so managed to find a mangy red t shirt and some stretchy trousers.

Thedarknightsaredrawingin · 12/01/2021 13:59

Rant away @ParisJeTAime, I’m married to a politics lecturer so imagine the chat in our house. Especially now all lectures online!

@Bouledeneige you suit navy.

I’m in Boden top (16), tu Sainsbury’s flared jeans (16 ) and Oliver bonas necklace. Going to add scarf, hat, jacket and boots to go a walk with DH and DD. It’s bloody freezing here!

Hi, can I join in please?

Today I'm wearing Tesco jeggings (which I am desperate for more of and so sad they stopped online sales!) bubble hem vest top from New Look, ancient cardigan from Yours, and a pair of trainers because my foot is killing me!

I work in a casual office thankfully, looking forward to getting inspiration from the thread.

ParisJeTAime · 12/01/2021 14:22

Lovely outfit dark. I really like that necklace! I think I need a few more statementy necklaces. They definitely add something to outfits, I think.

I haven't left the house today yet Blush. But might get the kids out for a walk in a minute.

I am a politics grad Grin! I don't even notice myself going off on one sometimes Blush. Imagine it's much more pronounced with a lecturer!
