We used to have one of these and it was fab!

It was vaguely for size 18+, but I know a 5 foot size 16 is not the same as a 6 foot one, so don't think it needs to be strict.

Anyway, if anyone would like to join me they'd be v welcome.

FWIW, I'm a tall size 18, apple shape.

Sorry, to clarify, "poor" childless friend, is because the last thing he wants is us landing on him for lunch out 😂. Not "poor" because he is childless. He is more than happy that way; childfree by choice etc. He does dote on dd though, which is very sweet.

Ha ha @ParisJeTAime! I'm the "poor childless aunt" in our family. Not by choice but perfectly fine with it.

My niece had a baby last year and I'm a bit afraid of the day she decides to bring her to meet me - with her other four children! I'm not sure my nerves will take it!

I love children, but 5...yes, that will be...noisy .

My friend isn't really a baby / young child person, but he makes special dispensation for children of good friends and he is actually really good with them! He would never coo over babies out and about like I do, but he has a lovely way with children, (with all people really), and is pretty good at just holding a baby while his friends who are parents do something else. The babies usually let him as he has such a calm and lovely demeanor. He is a great person and I'm so grateful he is in my dcs' lives, as I'm sure your niece feels about you! Is she the daughter of your late sister?

No, this niece is the daughter of my other sister. But I have loads of "niblings" (my new favourite word) and "great niblings" and even some "great great niblings". I'm not 100 years old, I was only 6 when I first became an aunt and 36 when I became a great great aunt

Actually they're all super kids and it will be lovely to catch up with them all. And I love my position in the family as the "glamorous aunt" who worked in the City.

Saturday Style Challenge!!!!!!!!

I chose a very long dress by Arket that I bought last year and have only worn twice. ( it needs taking up )

Look 1 is with a biker jacket from Topshop and Vivienne Westwood boots. (I’m trying to show you them but the dress is too long.)

Look 2 I wanted a denim jacket but I don’t have a suitable one so I have belted a dark green cardigan and am wearing cowboy boots. Don’t like this much. Cardigan pre loved. Belt - Smith and Wesson. Boots Ariat.

Look 3 - Casual with oversized sweatshirt by Monki, sneaks by Vans and bag by Cos.

I’m a bit between sizes so it’s a bit awkward with my clothes at the moment. Hope you’re all having a good day.

I am considering trying this with a shortish dress/top I have in my wardrobe which I bought for DH's whole family work Christmas party 8 years ago but never got to wear because then small toddler DC3 came down with a vomiting bug... but I think my children may come and investigate what I'm doing if I disappear, for some reason they're bickering more than usual this afternoon even though they have all been outside in the springlike sunshine...

my top from Wrap has arrived and sadly it’s gorgeous so can’t be returned and save me all that money. I might try a 3 way with it but Im Cleaning so want to finish that first. Forgive random caps, don’t know why that’s happening.

I like all three @Divebar2021 but if I had a gun to my head I'd go for look 1 with the boots from look 2.

I am joining in with the challenge, but have had a surprisingly busy day for a Saturday when NOTHING is open and we can't visit anyone .

Will post this evening! Am going to do a white shirt or a merino v neck, which I wear a lot, but usually the same way all the time.

If I stood with a white shirt on like that I’d look like a fridge freezer. I love the shirt under that Hell Bunny dress... especially good with the new boots I imagine.

And look at that @Myshitisreal you don’t see a Hell Bunny dress for 2 weeks then 2 come along at once. Purple and red is a favourite combination... I hope you’ll still be wearing alternative looks as an old lady. That would be fun to see.

Oooh how have I missed this thread? I was going to say that I haven’t bought much recently, but I did buy two pairs of ankle boots from (whisper it) Hotter. I will try snd take a photo. Also bought a load of stuff in the John Lewis sale, which is currently stuck in U.K. with DH as they wouldn’t deliver it to Europe (thank you Brexit) or, bizarrely, a BFPO address. I can’t even remember what I ordered now.

Welcome @Blyatiful ! How annoying about your JL stuff! I've got a handbag from hotter, which I found in a charity shop. It's just a tan, leather satchel. It was practically brand new when I bought it and I've had it for years. Nothing wrong with some of their stuff at all .

I don't wear mine that often these days, but it is good over a shirt. Will wear it on its own in summer.

Only 2 photos for the 3 way challenge because the last one was a bad photo but I couldn’t be arsed to get back in. This is my new top from Wrap which looks great irl, trying tonaldressing ish with an M&S skirt I bought for pennies in their sale 2 years ago, and haven’t worn because my life revolves around dogs and gardening. Then with JL&P jeans, more recently but also reduced to clear , that I also haven’t worn because they seem summery. My favourite was the bad photo, with pale blue jeans, altho I may look like a Smeg blue fridge freezer in it!, hence not shown.

Oh nice @Zebracat. I like the first one, with the tonal colours and the skirt, although the second one shows off your great legs!

Sorry about the other pic. Yes, I've had similar! Take a photo and it's so bad I just don't bother posting . I'm sure you didn't look like a fridge either though 😂. I will forever have that analogy in my head now when I'm trying on anything white or Smeg fridge colour .

There should be no talk of fridge-freezers on this thread! I might compare myself to a mini bar - full of fun but expensive.

I have a similar white shirt to @ParisJeTAime which I hardly wear. No idea because it always looks smart and I would style it as per your third picture. I also like it with the dress.
