Feeling much better today thanks, I slept well last night for the first time in a week - I have about a week each month when I sleep dreadfully & it seems to have ended, thank goodness. Obviously hormonal, it only started a couple of years ago. Suspect I'm pre/perimenopausal. Joy...
Have managed to get out for a walk today (only to the supermarket, but it's something, over 3 miles round trip, & shopping to carry back up a hill). Not eaten yet but we're having roast chicken, wedges & salad. Smells lovely.
@ReallySpicyCurry - do you blowdry /heat treat your hair, is it very long, or quite dry? Just wondering why the splits. I used to have extremely long hair (past my bum) but did regular moisturiser treatments & didn't get too many splits. I also didn't really use a dryer or heat on it very often. My DD also had very long hair until recently & it was also in great condition, virtually zero splits, I only ever blow dried it 2 or 3 times & she only had 2 trims before the age of 7.
@Tehmina23 - I quite often go up when DD goes to bed, get changed, wash my face, do any skincare bits that need to "sink in" or have time to settle, then come back down. I found if I don't, I often CBA to do it all, or wake up too much & am then wakeful in bed. I just do eye gel (I have dry eyes because my eyes don't close properly at night) & teeth just before bed. And I wear a silk eye mask most nights, to help my eyes stay closed. It helps, slightly. The temptation is strong to neglect a proper bedtime routine. Sleep is important. I'm sure there's a reason why so many people purposefully stay up when they're exhausted these days. Lack of quiet time or something. It's counterproductive though. I'm guilty of it too.
