AARRGHH! Discontinued favourites 😡

I’m SO annoyed! Just went to the Lish website to reorder my Queen Bee hair stuff and found it’s gone. Replaced by a cream which just won’t be right for me - it’s the addition of beeswax that stops my hair from fluffing up and releasing all moisture.

So I have two questions. What favourites of yours have been discontinued and what did you replace it with? And can you recommend anything to replace Queen Bee? 😭 I guess technically that’s three questions but still....

I am also annoyed that I bought a lipstick from Mac (it was a limited edition to be fair) which was discontinued with no equivalent replacement. It was perfect.

Barry M dazzle dust in all of the different colours. They used to do such a fantastic range of colours!

I loved a Smashbox coral triple colour palette. Gone 🤷‍♀️
Switch to an Estée Lauder blusher - which is nice, but not the same.

Loved Estée Lauder water fresh foundation. Discontinued 🤷‍♀️
Haven't found anything to replace it successfully yet.

This shampoo and conditioner was the absolute dogs bollocks. It made my hair so incredibly shiny

I never used SheLaq but I bet they’d sell it in truckfuls now, as my colleagues and I have all had to buy waterproof mascara as it was melting off us with our masks on!

I also loved Some Kinda Gorgeous and Flamingo Fancy. What is it with Benefit and discontinued products??

I also used to use a yellow under eye concealer thing. It was in a small pallet and was a cream on one side and powder on the other. Can’t for the life of me remember what it was called or where from but I’ve got ‘banana split’ in my head or something similar. May have been Boots 17 or Benefit. Anyway, I miss it!

Ah yes it’s so annoying. I loved a finishing powder Smashbox did which kept my make up in tact for hours and still haven’t found a decent replacement. Also LOVED Benefit 10 which gave me amazing cheekbones when normally I have none. Still haven’t been able to achieve as good a look with anything else.

I loved their powdered eyeliner.

Boots do a similar one, but not as long lasting and not in a non-glittery charcoal colour for everyday use.

Also, the perfume Dahlia Noir.

@Daisychainsandglitter I was looking at those on Superdrug’s website today. Some of them are mistitled Glitter Dust on the page, but the pot in the pic still says dazzle dust on the lid.

Boots natural collection. The strawberry and cream one with a cow on the packaging. Had no idea the 17 make up range has gone. I bet boots natural collection makeup has gone too.

I try not to get attached to MAC when they pull lipsticks. I liked Bunnybeams but I just knew they weren’t gonna keep it!

Rose hip herbal essences- the 90s one.

Superdrug did a Tropical range which was their young range for tweens in the mid 90s. Loads of different scents like banana, blueberry, coconut, mango I think. They also had a copy of Boots Natural Collection called "Natural Selection"!!!

I loved their cheap coconut foaming bath oil that was a massive bottle and only cost £1-2. Was gutted when that went.

Boots Natural collection was practically edible! The sunflower combined shampoo and shower gel smelt amazing and was ideal for travel/leaving at boyfriends house. They also did a elements range of earth, air, fire and water. All really nice but the earth especially was one of the best things I have ever smelt.

There are 3 products I really miss- one is a Ruby and Millie green liquid eyeshadow/ eyeliner that was perfect
The original recipe Umberto Giannini curl jelly- the new (ish) recipe just isnt the same
And a lipstick from the bodyshop that was the perfect shade, pinky but with blue undertones, that really suited my skin tone.

Agreed, it was epic. Kate Spade Truly Gracious smells a lot like it and is often cheap in TK Maxx or online.

That Vidal Sassoon shampoo and conditioner from the early 90s. Smelled of almonds. I think fondly of that stuff way too often.

Stila is in some M&S stores, some Boots, Lookfantastic etc. Spice girls impulse was lovely. As was Armani White & CK Truth. Boots Natural Collection still about and I’ve heard good things about the mascara.

No 7 Shiny Conker lipstick they still do it but its definitely not the same colour or texture that I used to wear

Virgin Vie All in One Face Base made your skin look like porcelain

Forgot one, Boots Botanics BB cream in medium just the right shade and texture

And another, Tuscany perfume cant remember the designer/brand though

Another mourner of the Clinique gentle light range here. The powder and foundation made my skin look amazing and I would get compliments on my glow all day long. When I asked why it had been discontinued I was told it was because it didn't sell well in the US where they preferred a matte look. This must be about 15 years ago, I still deeply miss it, nothing else is as good.

Not sure if this has officially been discontinued as you can still find it on amazon and ebay, but Maybelline did the best nude lipstick - shade 721 in pinky beige. Lovely and creamy and just perfect for my skin tone.

A particular Chanel foundation, I can’t remember the name of it. It was just the right weight for me. The alternatives just aren’t right, and as I’m allergic to lots of make up, I tend to stick to Chanel as I’ve never had a reaction.

A silly one that bugs me is the bath and body works twisted peppermint candles. It’s their Christmas range, so available for 4 weeks only each year. I love it, and have to stock up in December when the world is expensive enough as it is. But at least I can still get them sometimes.

The old GAP fragrances in the steel bottles, grass, dream they were amazing.

I'd forgotten about these, they were lovely
