Just that really. What’s your wonder anti-ageing product?
I’m just past mid 30s and the crows feet are starting to make an appearance!
I’ve been using vit c and retinol for many years now - as well as a peptide serum in the mornings.
How do I get my gold back? Or is that it now? Grin

I had an issue with fine lines around my mouth, and I’m only 33!

I started using Tretinon from Obaji, which you can only get prescription. Stopped using it in the summer when I found out I was pregnant as it’s Vitamin A, but those lines have completely disappeared.

Honestly. Giving up alcohol and going to bed early. I’ve got stricter with the sunscreen too, but that’s harder to gauge. Giving up booze visibly changed my face - I only drank moderately at weekends.

Fave product is Ultrabland from Lush.

When's a good time to start Botox and fillers? I'm late 30s and am wary of starting too soon and then having to do it for the rest of my life. Lines on top lip and the beginnings of jowls are my main gripes

Sleep clearly plays a big part, I've aged about 10 years since having young children 😭

Actually I'll start a new thread about the fillers

Prescription Tretinoin. Botox since 35.

Any other skincare is just for the smell and feel!

Yes to the PP who mentioned no alcohol.

I'm three years in and I've been amazed at how much my face and skin has improved.

@soberfabulous I used Tretinon for 6 months before I had to stop when I got pregnant. Even though it was just 6 months, the fine lines I had are actually gone and still gone 5 months after I stopped using! It's amazing stuff!

What Tretinoin did you use Mrs Hedgehog and Sober?

Report
MsHedgehog · 01/12/2020 19:29

@Anotheruser02 Obaji Medical 0.05% strength. The plan was to move me up to 0.1% after 6 months but that's when I had to stop.

It's only available on prescription, but I would go to Dr Yusra, who is based in London and Liverpool.

What’s the difference between Obaji and Dermatica tretinoin does anyone know?

I use Dermatica but wondering if Obaji better?

@Delatron I'm very much into researching skincare before I buy anything, no matter how cheap or expensive, and I must admit, I have never heard of Dermatica...

Obaji is really good stuff, and worth the money

Thanks @MsHedgehog
I’ve heard Obaji are good.

Dermatica are an online prescription service for Tret. You send them pictures of your skin and they mix up a blend for you. Then you pay monthly or bi-monthly.

I was just using cheap tretinoin before this from Portugal for 3 euros.

For those wanting to smoothe lines above your upper lip - these silicone patches are very non invasive and cheap if you reuse them for a few goes each - and really keep the lines at bay for me. I find they don't bother me at night. I think part of the effect is just stopping moisture evaporation, as well as 'ironing' the skin, and stopping me smooshing my face in the pillow.
