Which product has made the most difference to your skin in terms of anti-ageing?

Just that really. What’s your wonder anti-ageing product?
I’m just past mid 30s and the crows feet are starting to make an appearance!
I’ve been using vit c and retinol for many years now - as well as a peptide serum in the mornings.
How do I get my gold back? Or is that it now? Grin

I started gua sha massage in March, for lockdown irritability symptoms and my face looks lifted.

Also, mo alcohol and no sugar for the last month or so and Clarins Double Serum.

I get irritation from retinol type of products.

When I was in my late teens (I'm now late 40s) my Mum took me to a demo from Estée Lauder in our local village hall Grin I ended up buying some face wash, toner and moisturiser and have used that brand pretty much ever since. I now use the more expensive stuff from the range as I feel my skin needs it, but I do get people commenting on my skin and that they sometimes don't think I'm in my 40s (I like to think they are telling the truth). That and sleep, when my kids were young and waking through the night I'm sure people thought I was in my 60s but that changes when you start to get a decent nights sleep

For people asking about oil cleansers - I Origins gentle cleansing oil.

It is so satisfying to rub into my face. I then leave it in for a few minutes before washing off with a warm/hot cloth and then moisturise like normal. Once a week I use a gentle exfoliating wash

Thanks IlonaRN and ComeOnGordon for the oil cleanser recommendations. Both of those look great. I think I’ll get the Edinburgh one for the novelty factor as it’s not a brand I’ve used before.

How long does the gua sha massage take each day? I was tempted to buy one, but thought it might be a fad. I'm really interested to hear if it actually has an effect.

Do I have crows feet?

As long as you feel like it.

I usually do 10 to 15 mins in the evening, while only doing the massage and concentrating, , but might also do s few mins here and there, while on the phone. Sometimes in the bath, though not sure that's recommended.

When I say lifted, I mean something like not puffy and more defined cheekbones and jowls, not lifted lifted. But definitely better results that say, Nu Face.

I use it with M&S Rose and lemon cleansing balm because it smells lovely.

I will get one and hopefully my face shape will change from a bulldog into a... doberman? Grin

I read a recent interview with Nigella and she was asked the secret of her good skin.
She said she stays out of the sun and eats a lot of fat.

Well, I do one of those..

Lol.

I'm sure it helps to be very rich as well. That's not a dig at her by the way, but I do think it helps.

For sure! Being able to afford top of the range skincare, treatments (& whatever else 😉) helps a lot!

Botox is the most magical thing on crows’ feet. They just disappear and you think, wow, all the money I’ve wasted on eye cream that does nothing and - bam - in a matter of minutes they’ve vanished.

They all say that. It’s the skincare equivalent of saying you stay slim by “running around after children”.

I found (and seen on others) that yes Botox makes the crow’s feet disappear but the more wrinkles appear under the eye instead. I feel it i just pushes the lines elsewhere. I guess something needs to crinkle when you smile.

I’m not going to have it round my eyes again.

@Delatron I had it round my eyes once and hated the effect! Like you say it pushed the crinkles under my eyes and I had weird sort of double eye bags for about a year.

Now I just have it in my forehead/eyebrows

See i don't really have crows feet , so botox would be no good for me. It's more that everything is sagging downwards. I have what I call downward daggers at the sides of my mouth. Angela Merkel has them but is a lot older than me.

@HillaryWhitney yes! I can’t wait for mine to wear off now.
