I saw a thread about what we accept we cannot wear, so I thought a thread about what looks great on us would be nice as well!

What kind of person/head is good for hats? How do you find hats that suit?

RomillyTheRabbit · 15/11/2020 13:41

Oh nice thread op!

I suit skater dresses & wrap dresses, girlfriend jeans, big jumper dresses. Gold jewellery too!

Ballsdeep00 · 15/11/2020 13:51

@IdblowJonSnow have you tried a flatcap and what is a flump lol

JessePinkmanYo · 15/11/2020 14:40

Super skinny jeans and converse
Camel coat
Black with turquoise and gold accessories.

Ballsdeep00 · 15/11/2020 14:47

Yo

Separatedandabitsad · 15/11/2020 17:53

@Gwenhwyfar

I think the only thing for it is trying on hats & accepting they change your face but there is usually a nice one for everyone. I wear warm hats for half the year as I get cold.

@Separatedandabitsad that is true all hats can't be bad x

TeatimeAtCloppa · 15/11/2020 18:19

Seventies fashion. I am very tall and skinny - 5 foot 10 and a wisp away from 8.5 stone - stripy rib knit t shirts, fitted flared trousers with big belts and hippy style gilets all suit me.

MiniTheMinx · 15/11/2020 18:48

I look great in hats, especially large hats and floppy hats. I look good in dark colours, and dead in pastels. I mostly wear black, navy or dark green. I have dark hair with lots of red in it, and these colours highlight the red in my hair.....and make me look a bit more lively!

I'd love to be able to wear something slouchy that drapes with a lower waist, but I'm too short, too short in the body and too curvy. And I'd love to find 80s style high waist trousers I could wear.

Ballsdeep00 · 15/11/2020 18:52

@MiniTheMinx what do you mean by slouchy

Saturdayrabbit42 · 15/11/2020 18:52

Tea dresses, T bar shoes, 40s/50s stuff...was born in the wrong decade!!! 5ft 6 size 12...great thread!

Ballsdeep00 · 15/11/2020 18:55

@saturdayrabbit42 that sounds like a good look

Separatedandabitsad · 15/11/2020 19:17

I’m experimenting with midi dresses with tights & runners these days ... not always an easy one for me to pull off but because my waist is my best bit I need to get warm with thermals underneath instead of cardis over as I have wide hips . It’s a nice look on me

Ballsdeep00 · 15/11/2020 19:18

@Separatedandabitsad it sounds very nice

Didyousaynutella · 15/11/2020 20:05

Mini skirts and dresses.
Autumnal colours like mustards and rusts.
Hats.

Echobelly · 15/11/2020 20:09

5ft 1 - small boobs (34B), large waist (30inches+), good legs. Wear about size 10 on top, 12 on bottom.

I look really good in slightly high-waisted flared dresses with knee lenght skirts - I try to buy the shape whenever I can.

Ballsdeep00 · 15/11/2020 20:13

@echobelly wouldn't call a 30 waist large x

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 15/11/2020 20:30

Deep v-neck tees
Wrap around dresses
Fitted, tailored jackets
Biker boots and Chelsea boots
Glossier lidstar cream eye shadow
Smile

Separatedandabitsad · 15/11/2020 20:45

@Echobelly
Yeah and 34B isn’t particularly small either. Grin

Ballsdeep00 · 15/11/2020 20:48

@Separatedandabitsad @echobelly perfect size if you ask me

bearlyactive · 15/11/2020 20:57

Fitted not-quite leopard print tops (I'm blonde and it goes really well with my hair). Skinny jeans, low ankle boots with pointy tips. 5ft 4, size 8, no boobs whatsoever!

Standrewsschool · 15/11/2020 20:57

Pear shape,

Maxi dresses
High neck berry jumper

Ballsdeep00 · 15/11/2020 20:58

@bearlyactive nice combo x

Separatedandabitsad · 16/11/2020 06:50

@bearlyactive

Yeah leopard print with blonde hair sounds lovely.

Separatedandabitsad · 16/11/2020 06:52

@Standrewsschool

I love high necks too. Berry is a lovely colour.
