Royal style - how we love Kate in a red coat

These threads have always had the ethos of critique the style not the wearer.
Regulars will know i rarely have a good word to say about Kate's style, and her accessories, don't get me started. Not a reflection on the person.
MM has better overall style imo but yes. You can see her bra outline in most formal occasion clothes. Wtf is that all about. And again not critiquing the person.
I have my own views on the persons which isn't reflected in my critique of their clothes.

For goodness sake we are critiquing the clothes not the people.
We all like different outfits on Kate & we say which ones don't suit her.
We do the same with every other Royal.
Is Edward going to sue us because we don't like his double breasted suits?
Is HMQ going to give us a all a Damehood as we wax lyrical about her tiaras , think bright colours suit her & that she's found a jewel in Angela Kelly.
I'm hoping Bea will send us all some of her wedding cake seeing that we all loved her dress.
Some people are beginning to look paranoid if they think they are being singled out for their fashion choices.
And are forgetting the many compliments we haven't given re previous outfits.
The world's gone mad or are HQ worried about being sued just because only 90% of us loved the wedding dress not 100%.

Wow that is some coat list - respect!!! Can't believe you didn't get tired of making it half way through. That is a LOT of coats. I really can't see the point of that. That is my criticism and I've said it before - if these poor women (and to some extent even the men...) in this outdated system of monarchy are being looked at as glorified clothes hangers, then why not use that for some sort of message? What is this message? Apart from C O A T S COATS COOOAAAATS CCCCCCCCCoAtS?

So confusing.

I didn't see the now deleted post, but I once had a very innocuous post deleted and then quietly reinstated after a few days. Mistakes happen.

Not sure what I missed here, but it's unusual for a post on these threads to be deleted, we usually self regulate very well and understand that a criticism of the clothes (Kate's high round necks in my case) is not a criticism of the person. Actually, most criticism when given is more a response to a feeling of 'how can that be so wrong given how much it cost?' rather than anything personal, it's frustration really seeing as that most royal ladies have the figures and budgets which mean no excuses for getting the basics, such as fit, wrong.

Well, that mask looks amazing. I LOVE how you can totally see her smiling eyes!
Unbelievably good PR rehabilitation, although during that whole situation, she was the only one to remain dignified with silence.
I do respect how she, Kate and Sophie dress the part for engagements, but seem really relaxed in country clothes. They seem excellent at separating the job from the life.

Oh, and that coat list is awesome....I have six coats (three of which are 'playground duty' coats to cover all weather) and DH is forever muttering about the amount of coats I've got. William is clearly much more forgiving than my DH

Speaking of beautiful coats, does anyone know what Remembrance Day will be able to be like this year? I always find it so very moving to watch on TV and love seeing what beautifully tailored outfits HMQ, Kate, Sophie and Camilla are wearing. I was in the minority I think, but I loved Kate's equestrian style and military chic coats. So elegant.

I read somewhere that the Remembrance Day service would be closed to the public but will be televised and have the Forces, Royals and Government represented as normal.

@paradyning I don't know if it's exactly the same mask but my normal leopard print one looks just like that.
I have a purple leopard one too.
I do love my leopard print well any animal print.
I have a pair of giraffe print Jaeger ballet flats (I keep them for best otherwise it's my M&S & Primark ballet flats )

Changing subject slightly, I had my monthly HMQ dream last night.
I was in bed with HMQ (don't worry it was all innocent as I'd gone to stay with her at Balmoral but there weren't any other beds so I had to share with her)
I remember calling her Your Majesty Granny & we were talking about birthdays & weddings. HMQ reminded me that I mustn't forget Bea's birthday this year as Andrew had gone bankrupt so couldn't buy her any presents.
HMQ then asked my to recite all the RF's birthdays & we discussed Fergie.
Finally HMQ said I must wear my coat when I go out as I'll freeze & if I don't she will be very cross as she'll have to get all hers out of storage for me to wear.

Kate's coat list by @EastonSarah must have lodged in my subconscious 😂

I wonder why she chose such a long coat? Was it because it was an entirely outdoor engagement perhaps and she wanted to look formal but stay warm?
