I’ve just found this thread…can I join please? I’m 4 ft 11 and size 6/8. I have a really short torso and can not wait for high waisted jeans to bugger off. Low slung completely elongates my upper half…please come back soon.

im considering coated hush jeans …can someone tell me about the length…where do they sit?

my recent wins have been buying a few key pieces off eBay in Kids sizes!! I got a great jumpsuit from Stella McCartney and a few tops from joules and boden in kids sizes.

I’ve also managed to get a couple of youth jeans from h and m that works…but I have chunky calves and sometimes can be a bit snug.

coats are a pain in the bum. I recently purchased the Reiss long down filled puffa in petite and I’m really happy with it. bit speedy but Perfect length for cold dog walks and doesn’t make me look like a marshmallow!

Last year I made 2 great coat purchases:

~ Ralph Lauren Petite - massive down-filled thing, fitted perfectly

~ Ted Baker trench coat - i needed the sleeves shortening but the neck-to-waist length was perfect.

Both are worth putting on the watch list.

Have just bought myself some Roman summer dresses ready for a Xmas holiday - perfect fit!

I still don't know what long and short waisted means, but high rise jeans suit me!

I still have 2 pairs of jeans waiting for me to take them up. Only been 2 years.

I saw a woman on the train yesterday. About 5 foot and she had the exact jacket I wanted. It was a black puffy one that came down to the hips but boxy. And nice laced up flat boots. I can't find a jacket. And dare I wear flats to work at only 4 foot 10? Male dominated so feel small even in block heeled boots. Only go in a few times a year.

Super dry have the jackets but will be too big. ASOS look to have some but I wanted a good quality one that would keep you warm.

I have a Uniqlo down jacket that sits just below hip on me and is warm. I’m just 5’. Worth a look? Think they have a cyber Monday deal on too.

I am looking for a Christmas party dress. Not too sparkly or revealing (it’s for a work do) but not too prim either. I love velvet but haven’t found anything yet that looks like the length would work. I really would love colour as well although I have seen a black phase eight dress which is my favourite so far. I find a lot of the petite ranges a bit middle aged for party wear. I’ve got good legs so would be happy with short, nothing too low as I am quite big busted.

Any ideas?

Joining also! 5 foot 1 but size 12-14 with large feet The only clothes I find flattering at all are petite tunics with leggings.

I’ve had some good luck with Stitch Fix this season, found the perfect wrap top with balloon sleeves that actually fit my short arms. I think the name of the brand was Outfit.

I just discovered Vila petite. I got a puffer coat that is the most perfect length. I'm 4"11 and this even has perfect length sleeves.

@SeasonsBleatings am similar to you. Sometimes I wear regular tunics as dresss with thick tights.

Roll on Springtime and cropped trousers that are full length on us shorties 😀

Has anyone seen cargo/carpenter style jeans that are not too high on the waist and not too wide on the legs?

Hi @Niftythrifter as soon as you posted I went online to get them and they were in my size in stock but kids distracted me and they were gone an hour later ! Will try and look in-store when I'm in one next

My size were initially in stock then I missed out sadly!

@SeasonsBleatings @Roxie99 I would think that they will still have some sale left in the actual shops so hopefully you’ll find a pair to try on. I’m impressed so far with them. I’ve not worn straight leg trousers in ages so it’s going to take me a while to get used to them and how to style them.

Hi thanks @Niftythrifter went into found one in what I thought was my size but luckily I tried them on as sadly they were too tight and slightly too long I'm 5'1 ish. But with boots with a slight heel would have been perfect! Enjoy your new purchase @Niftythrifter !

@Roxie99 I am shorter than you and so I am surprised they are too long on you! The fit is comfortable on me, not too loose and not too tight in terms of sizing. They are not as generous in terms of a Boden size eight.
