@Appzy I used to horse ride as a kid and had my riding boots taken up by a cobblers. I have not tried long boots as an adult as my legs are really very short.

Petite is still really long on me. Is this the case for everyone?
3/4 length leggings are to my ankles.

Ayupmeduck · 27/11/2020 10:10

I've just found this thread - I'm 4ft 11 and a size 12-14 so finding clothes that fit is tricky. Loving the recommendations though thank you!

Here's a recent buy of mine which I love. Hobbs petite Puffer jacket. They've got 25% off for Black Friday as well at the minute

@Appzy - yes, in Sainsburys! Leather knee high boots that dont make me goose step due to inability to bend knee. And cheap. And comfy. (I'm also 5'1")

TooMinty · 27/11/2020 13:56

@Sooverthemill My Hush Agnes jeans arrived the other day, they are great thanks for the tip! Loose fit but not ridiculously baggy and length is fine (with them folded up and couple of times, but was expecting that). Go great with DMs 😊

Sooverthemill · 01/12/2020 20:32

@TooMinty sorry this fell off my list. Yay! I love hush jeans and am waiting for a pair of coated skinnies to arrive!

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 01/12/2020 21:12

I just got coated skinnies from mint velvet. They're a really good length.

TooMinty · 01/12/2020 21:47

Well I will probably have to start buying skinnies elsewhere now that Topshop is going under, so will keep Hush and Mint Velvet on my list for that!

Sooverthemill · 02/12/2020 09:35

@TooMinty these may well be too long because they don't do different leg lengths but I though it worth a try as people rate this style highly

TooMinty · 02/12/2020 13:52

Oh as I have to wear Hush Agnes jeans rolled up then I think skinny jeans would be too long for me. Mint Velvet do different lengths though I think? I like my skinnies with no turn up so they fit under calf/knee boots in winter 🥶

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 02/12/2020 19:49

Yes, mint velvet do a short leg length. I wish I'd never discovered that though, as I generally only pay about £20 for jeans.

Sooverthemill · 02/12/2020 19:50

Yes the mint velvet ones look good but I wanted a different colour from black!

Lougirl · 06/12/2020 22:39

Can anyone recommend a dressy dress for Christmas? Am 5 1., size 10/12. Have a belly and boobs. Just want something to make me feel nice. I normally wear mostly black wrap dresses but am open to all suggestions.

Sooverthemill · 11/12/2020 12:54

Reporting back on the hush coated jeans. Took ages to come from John Lewis but they are a perfect ankle length. Love them!

icklekid · 11/12/2020 13:06

They look beautiful!

Sooverthemill · 11/12/2020 14:36

@Lougirl I don't wear dresses in the winter but I do get dresses from Boden, Hobbs and hush who may be worth a go. Hobbs and Boden do petite

Lougirl · 11/12/2020 19:47

@Sooverthemill will have a look at them, thanks for the suggestions.

iwantsnow · 11/12/2020 19:53

So many suggestions, just found this thread this is awesome. I'm 5ft & struggling to find much choice in clothes. M&co petite is my go to for jeans.

LongHotSummerJustPassedMeBy · 12/12/2020 09:31

Has anyone tried jeggings by ‘Love Leggings’? I wear Primark high waisted jeans at the moment but would like something softer. Am 5’1 with a high rise.

Sooverthemill · 12/12/2020 15:38

Not tried them myself but I have leggings from various retailers all of which are very comfortable and today I have mint velvet velvet leggings in short which are fab.

LongHotSummerJustPassedMeBy · 12/12/2020 15:53

Thank you! Great photo, I like the length of those leggings. I’ll look them up.

BuzzingTheBee · 12/12/2020 15:57

Ooo love it

Annasgirl · 12/12/2020 15:59

Oh I love those @Sooverthemill. I have bought some more Sweaty Betty ones as my fist ones were so fab. I bought the 7/8 and they fit so well.

I also want to share with all of you 5'3" or thereabouts that I bought a fabulous long puffer coat from Superdry - I've raved about it on 3 threads now, but it is so gorgeous and a perfect fit. It is long - mid calf - but just what I wanted for long walks with the dog and sport with the DC. I adore it - for any of you who want to try a long coat, but still short enough for us I recommend it. It is the Superdry microfibre duvet coat and it comes in Navy and Black and you will can see from all my posts on here that I don't work for them Grin).

IToldYouIWantedTheUnicorn · 12/12/2020 18:59

Is anyone else on here just on the cusp of petite and non petite? I'm 5ft 3.5", size 8, and find that sometimes petite clothes fit perfectly whilst at other times they're too short on the arms or the rise of the jeans is too short for me. But 'regular' ranges are almost always too long for me.

Fleabag84 · 13/12/2020 18:21

Hi everyone, haven't read the full thread so sorry if this has been asked already but where do you buy nice underwear from?! I'm 5"1 size 4-6 and struggle to get decent underwear sets. I have googled petite underwear and get taken to various sites but when I find something I like they don't have it in my size I also don't want to pay over the odds because I'm petite!

TooMinty · 13/12/2020 18:42

Very nice! I also love your leopard print trainers 👟
