Thanks for the new thread @Ellapaella Smile I hope the restrictions ease off in your area soon, though I've a horrible feeling that instead the whole country will be under more restrictions soon.

@Sooverthemill and @toastfiend thinking of you both and sending lots of good wishes.

@JaceLancs what a beautiful cat!

Yesterday to meet up with a friend for coffee (while I still can Wink) I wore an old hush skirt and cashmere-merino jumper which I bought at a flower show last summer when it was absolutely freezing cold and I was most definitely not dressed for the weather! A distress purchase but luckily I really like it. Plus cherry red DMs.

Today I've gone for cosy comfort - yoga pants and hoodie from sweaty Betty and thermal top from M&S. And woolly socks (though I may try some bamboo ones, I can't remember who recommended them on the last thread)

I've ordered a couple of things from John Lewis and other stories so had a bit of a wardrobe sort out to make room. Will be doing some eBaying later!

@Softpebbles those docs are great. I can't see the colour difference but assume it's more obvious in real life. That's annoying, hope you can get it sorted without hassle!

@Sooverthemill thinking of you. Do the doctors know what's wrong? Hope you feel better soon 💐

@PalacePaper love that Sweaty Betty hoodie! I live in my grey one.

Thanks for the new thread, @Ellapaella 😊

Sickoffamilydrama · 04/10/2020 18:11

Thanks @Ellapaella hope you are on the mend @sooverthemill
@JaceLancs I actually don't 'do' selfies but posting on here has given me way more confidence and more comfortable with how I look in photos.

Thanks @Ellapaella. Hi everyone. Loving that jumper @PalacePaper

Shannith · 04/10/2020 18:16

Thanks @Ellapaella for the new thread

Oh no @Sooverthemill, you poor thing. I hope you feel better soon. Sending you best wishes

@itssquidstella I absolutely love the colours of the jeans/green jumper together. The green is very...I want to say unsual...which I mean in good way!

@Softpebbles that is so weird with the DMs. They are totally different colours. Would love to hear their explanation.

I wore a sexed up dog walking outfit for most of today. Umm, I wore a animal print shirt, belt and a reasonable pair of jeans and had my hair down. This passes for glamour overload in my world.

The hat is new, from the game fair and is a revelation for walking in the rain. All my waterproof hooded coats (I have a lot) make me feel like I'm wearing a vice around my head.

Hat - Aussie
Jacket - proper old lady seriously waterproof walking coat via charity
Shirt - New look (free)
Belt - banana republic
Jeans - possibly river island (free)
Boots - Dubarrys

@Ellapaella - thanks for the new thread.

@shannith. No idea but at the price they charge I’d like a matching pair! 😊

@PalacePaper I keep forgetting about my sweaty Betty hoodie.

Pretty chilled day today. Patent docs came out. They still aren’t 💯 comfortable and I’ve had them ages! X

Oh @Shannith you've given me an idea for a present for Dsis she does a lot of walking and would love a waterproof hat. I need to get out more as I love being outside bit kids and work seem to take to all my time 🙄

vervaininthemembrane · 05/10/2020 03:46

Can I join in? I'm a bit late in the day but I'll be wearing the same when I get up! I'm wearing this dress with black combats.

I totally love it. I had a little spree and this is one of my favourite dresses. I run around after my toddler all day and wanted something that wasn't sweats/yoga pants. I feel very autumn and glamorous in it. I have had to reattach a tassel after it was yanked off. Even my teen gives it a thumbs up!

Rollerbird · 05/10/2020 05:55

@vervaininthemembrane gorgeous dress!!
Getting up for the gym. I look like a monster at this time of the morning 😂

Softpebbles · 05/10/2020 07:19

My company has given us all an extra day off today, so I’ve had a relaxed start to the day. I’ll probably get changed back into my decorating clothes in a bit.

Did Karen Millen's jeans used to be good then?! I used to spend loads of money in there in my 20s and 30s when I had way more money, was slimmer etc! Nice outfits!

Sooverthemill · 05/10/2020 11:37

Thanks everyone for all the good wishes. The symptoms are just terrible gastroenteritis but with fainting, high temp, severe abdominal and back pain, delirium, loss of memory, forgetfulness. The hospital gave me a through going over and found a few blood anomalies which may indicate something or not! I was given the choice of coming home with ability to return in 24 hours . They couldn't get a bed for me to be monitored which he wanted so I wanted my own. The kind doc suggested after discussing with senior on call docs that it could be that having had Hodgkin's lymphoma my body's immune system is over reacting to a simple virus. Or I could have inflammatory bowel disease. Who knows? I don't feel quite so dreadful today and am sat in the sitting room for the first time in a week just quietly listening to DH being all grown up on his zoom Board meeting. The dogs missed me. I miss DD terribly and she is suffering with DH being sole carer ( he has adhd and is just rubbish at doing stuff right for her so she has to ask and use precious energy). Hoping tomorrow I may be up to helping a bit. I did just eat 2 slices of white toast with marmite. Victory! The lovely builder has just been so helpful and kind through this too and one day I will take a photo of the still unfinished kitchen

@OublietteBravo Glad your kids are well
Xxx
Pyjamas: M&S

Sickoffamilydrama · 05/10/2020 11:58

Glad you are out @Sooverthemill 🤞 it's nothing more than a virus we are so used to just shrugging and going it's just a virus but they can still be really nasty...as we are all learning with Covid!

Like the skirt @hopewardrobe and the jumper @Justonedayatatime11
