I love bags, I have only been able to afford more expensive ones in the last 3 years or so - I've made up for it since though

Ootd was: camel coloured merino wool turtleneck, dark blue skinny jeans, both from Gap. Mulberry oak belt, vintage (or just old? - from 1995) Hermes scarf in golden and grey tones (Chasse au bois), gold jewellery.
When out also Massimo Dutti trenchcoat and Nike vapormax trainers.

Well it's a gloomy morning here but I'm off to walk the dog along the beach now. No plans today other than a run and some yoga and I have plenty of washing and laundry to keep me busy. We have a family zoom quiz tonight -not done one since June but as we can no longer see family or friends we've started it back up.
Tomorrow I'm taking the kids to Beamish - rumour has it we will be in almost a full lockdown down here by Monday 😥 so better try and make the most of our freedom while we can. Maybe we will go out for lunch or tea. What's everyone else up to?

That’s a nice colourful outfit @Ellapaella enjoy your walk. We cancelled DD1 who lives in Sheffield last weekend because I was so unwell and lost the hotel charge ( she can’t stay because I’m so nervous of bugs of any kind with DD and we don’t have spare room usable even if not!) so we’ve booked a friends shepherds hut for her next weekend and fingers crossed she won’t be in lockdown. Not seen her since March but I’ve gone longer when she was on her year abroad and a year in Australia. Until we can hug it’s tough.
We ate in the almost finished but I heated kitchen last night. My first actual meal , very plain, no champagne!

Today I will do a tiny bit of putting stuff in cupboards as the kitchen should be finished Tuesday minus a covid related delayed quartz worktop

I’m in hush and esprit again. Comfy still

My favourite jeans which, I haven’t worn for such a long time but... have lost 18 lbs over lockdown so, can now wear then comfortably again. A J Crew cashmere jumper which I love. Came from my mum and is super soft and isn’t something I’d buy myself (far too expensive). I feel warm, snuggly and ... slim.

I don’t really seem to have any plans for this weekend. So I’m in comfortable clothes and just generally hanging around dealing with the never ending laundry mountain.

Glad I'm not alone in the male dominated industry @OublietteBravo it's hard as I find I give headspace to how I look when it shouldn't matter although we all know it does!
Not going for any style awards today just want to feel good and be comfortable.
@Ellapaella what FB groups do you recommend for style? I just want normal women not ones in stilettos with no tights on in the snow 😱

Today I walked the dog in the rain and then showered and have coated skinnies and a top. I think I need some nice knitwear to wear with jeans.

Top - top shop. Think will charity bag after this wear. Really not feeling it.

Wore with my black new balance.

I went and ordered new sofas today. Mine still look ok but I’ve worked out they are 16 years old and they are ones I had when I got divorced 🤦‍♀️ Kept saying I would get new ones so today I bit the bullet!

@Softpebbles got any pictures of the new sofa? Ours was second hand nearly 10 years ago, it's leather so great with kids who have spilled loads on it but some of the seams are starting to rip, I'm wondering about trying to restore it but also we have never had a new one so perhaps we might treat ourselves to new.

@Sickoffamilydrama thank you for remembering! I did what you said - I am pretty sure it was you - ordered three pairs in an 8 from Next, they arrived during the week and they were all massive. I took them back in store today and they had no sixes in there. It reminded me that when my nearly 23 year old needed smart work trousers and skirts earlier this year, she ended up in M&S age 12-13 (she is small). So ... I then recalled someone on here, I think @Sooverthemill, ordering Levi's from eBay so I have done that this afternoon. Impulse buy but only £10.
