@Wagsandclaws welcome to the thread, I love your dress, you look fabulous 👌
Hello to everyone else, been super busy the last few days and again only really wearing work uniform mostly.
Got a new dress which is Nobody's child from M&S which I'm super pleased with (see pic). Have also got some high waist cords from whistles on the way, took advantage of a 20% off in John Lewis. The Monki cords I ordered a few weeks ago went back as they were too skinny, I wanted a more relaxed fit.

@Sickoffamilydrama sorry for delayed reply, I love the trainers with the leather leggings.

@OublietteBravo your Hobbs dress and Boden jumper combo from yesterday is lovely - really suits you.

Yay to matching docs @Softpebbles!
The wonder balm is fantastic for softening your the stiff leather. Definitely worth a try if you find them uncomfortable

@Sooverthemill good to see you are up and about, sending DaffodilBrew and get well wishes

@Wagsandclaws love those outfits, especially the skirt and the dress. Excellent shoes/boots in all 2 pictures. You look very stylish.

Thank you @hopewardrobe now to decide whether to go for back or grey. Grey I think!

Ellapaella · 08/10/2020 20:10

@Shannith I really love that rainbow sweater. You do have some great charity shop finds! Wish we had decent ones nearby.

Ellapaella love the outfit, particularly the boots - where are they from?

Ellapaella · 08/10/2020 20:14

Thanks delphinium - they are from Mint Velvet, I got them last November - they're called Debbie boots and I think they still do them.

Love that dress and jacket @Wagsandclaws

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/10/2020 20:24

That's nice, Ella. What's the fabric like?

Ellapaella · 08/10/2020 20:47

Thanks Remus, hope you are feeling a bit better. It's viscose - says it's made from renewable sources. Feels nice, I'd say it's very similar to Hush quality but was more sensibly priced.

@Ellapaella that dress is gorgeous!

I was excited to see Karen Millen put out a curve range this week, I've ordered a few pairs of trousers ( in cream - not overly practical for winter but I love greys, pinks and creams ) their 18's are tight!

Thanks everyone 😊 I love that dress with the jacket. I bought it last year and took the arms up to my elbows as I don't like full length sleeves, they look funny on me with my boobs!

The jacket was an eBay find - I also bought a similar one in navy. I love ebay! It's a bit hit and miss sometimes but it's a good way to buy expensive barely worn stuff for sometimes a quarter of the price.

I love the country look, I live rurally one Somerset and have horses so I'm a bit of a cliche i'm afraid 😬🤣

Wagsandclaws · 08/10/2020 21:35

Also I'm loving the whole maxi dress with boots look this autumn - what do you ladies think of this dress?

It's a really flattering shape but I'm worried that the multi coloured dots will make me look a bit like mr Tumble 🤣

I love that dress @Wagsandclaws - it would look great with some black chunky or biker boots. It's not giving me any Mr Tumble vibes 😁

OublietteBravo · 09/10/2020 08:16

@Sickoffamilydrama - I love the leggings. I think I prefer them with the trainers, but it’s marginal. (I don’t think the jumper needs ironing - but then I hardly iron anything).

@Wagsandclaws - I think the dress is fine. Definitely not into Mr Tumble territory.

@Purplecatshopaholic - great boots. Love them!

I’m finishing off the working week in another dress. It’s really more of a summer one, but I figured I could add a jumper and tights and boots for autumn.

Jumper: Jigsaw
Dress: Warehouse
Boots: Doc Martens

itssquidstella · 09/10/2020 08:16

@hopewardrobe I love those tights!

Hope your little one is okay, @toastfiend and welcome, @Wagsandclaws!

I’ve dressed very boringly this week. I've got to the stage in term where I'm just recycling outfits so I've got nothing new to show off!

This dress is my favourite, though.

Lovely dress and brogues @itssquidstella

@Wagsandclaws love that dress. Nice with boots and you could add a jumper over the top to mix it up.

@toastfiend any news on the test. Rates where we are are relatively low but it feels like it’s getting closer.

Having a big hair chop today And I think the children and DH will hate it but it’s something I am doing for me.

Skirt - oasis
Top - all saints.
Docs to wear them in - they don’t really go but am wearing them around the house lots.

Oh and can I ask. If you have spotted someone with their fabulous wears on a different group do you acknowledge or carry on and ignore.

The person looked fabulous as always BTW. 😊

Sooverthemill · 09/10/2020 09:43

@Wagsandclaws welcome! Great outfits and I agree the dress looks fab. Like @Ellapaella I’d just suggest adding chunky accessories. There’s a blogger called wearsmymoney who did a good dress feature recently (am hazy on when) with ideas for what to wear with. She’s great as she covers all budgets.
Everyone looks great and autumnal. I can’t remember anyone specifically but the new cherry docs are great!

Look I have shoes on! Progress. I also still have the very nice but oh my god so noisy builders. Who knew a kitchen could take so long?
Tee: ancient hush
Joggers: hush via FB marketplace
Trainers: jigsaw
Sweatshirt:hush
Ooh hasn’t realised! Makes se se as hush is super soft and cosy. I ordered a new sweatshirt the other day but in my fog I paid postage and I’m entitled to free premium dispatch. That’s a bugger

@Softpebbles do you mean like if you saw@Ellapaella on another thread? Sometimes I wave

Sickoffamilydrama · 09/10/2020 09:49

Looking good all. Like the liner dresses and skirts with boots.
I'm struggling today and could do with help which jacket should I wear? Going for a meeting in a very male dominated environment I know I shouldn't be filling my head with worrying about it a as I'm a director and deserve to be there!

The navy jacket is to big but the only one I've got...I must get one that fits better.

@Softpebbles is it me? if it's me I'm fine for you to say hi - I have got to know quite a few Mumsnetters from the S&B threads in real life and in Facebook groups.
