Clarinet gentle foaming face wash gone. 30ml.

Onto gentle refiner exfoliator. 15ml. Advent calender one j think. Or a gwp.

BlueSussex · 24/01/2021 11:05

It took me about two hours to do the s/sheet. emptied every drawer, every handbag. It's a total shocker. 20 lipsticks for a start Shock Bear in mind I did a huge clear out in about November, so this is all the pared down version.

Anyway, at least this should help to curb some of my emotionally driven spending. Will do the clothes one later today (although all summer clothes in loft so will have to add to s/sheet when that all comes out.)

This weeks beauty empties:
Tropic Skin Feast Moisturiser. Nice light product. Does the job. Have already repurchased according to s/sheet of doom! There are 7 day moisturisers on there.

M&S True Red Perfume. This must be about 7 years old, can't even remember how I got it. Have been using it for wfh days and it's quite nice but wouldn't repurchase. Nine perfumes to get through now.

Decleor Face Oil. WOW!!! I don't often use oils as I am prone to spots (although I have another 5 in the stash) but this has had an amazing effect on my skin. It smelt a bit "green" but so worth it. I would definitely repurchase.

Nivea Protective Care Hand Cream with honey. This did the job and smelt really nice.Cheap as chips. Eight in the stash.

Experiment627 · 25/01/2021 16:11

@BlueSussex well done on the spreadsheet!

I did a declutter of my makeup stash today... a pile of stuff to chuck!!!! And donate!!!

People would cry if I posted my makeup stash BlushBlushBlush

BlueSussex · 25/01/2021 17:12

@Experiment627 I hope that was catharctic. I have that Pixi By Petra lip gloss!!

@QueenPawPaws Post it!!! Grin

I am hoping I will be able to refer to my s/sheet before buying any other shite. I have broken the back of doing the clothing one too. I still have to do footwear/PJs/underwear/accessories. Again I am hoping this will make me richer by reminding me what I have and making me use it rather than just keep buying more.

Fingers crossed!

QueenPawPaws · 25/01/2021 17:15

Ok. So the grey unit is just palettes GrinBlush
I know where everything is, and I love it is messy and I can grab whatever I need

MackemLass79 · 25/01/2021 17:59

@QueenPawPaws my make up would look similar if I set it all out but as it is it's all literally thrown in a box that one of my previous gift sets came in some hat box style box which is now minus the lid ha. Is that iconic highlighter drops I see? I've always been tempted by these but never got round to buying any are they all they are meantt to be? Do they live upto the hype?

Experiment627 · 25/01/2021 18:07

That was not my complete stash!!! Just what fits in that box!!

@BlueSussex you are on 🔥!!!

@QueenPawPaws fabulous collection!!!

QueenPawPaws · 25/01/2021 18:19

@MackemLass79 it's actually the nip fab ones and the glow is blinding with them Grin

MackemLass79 · 25/01/2021 19:26

Ah right I may have to check them out (once I've used up everything I have of course haha). I use strobe cream mixed with my foundation or tinted moisturiser at min with a powder highlighter over the top if neede. Well that's when I wear make up these days for a trip to my sofa of a mini break at costa del bathroom or if I'm really pushing it s short venture to a la garden 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂

ememem84 · 25/01/2021 21:36

Soap and glory heel genius done. I actually really rate this. I tend to use it at night and the. Sleep with a pair of socks on. Or if I’m not going anywhere in the day slather it on then tight socks then fluffy socks then slippers.

I ah e about a gazillion foot creams though to get through before I repurchase. So will crack on.

Dsis gave me some
More body shop body butters today. Yay.

ememem84 · 26/01/2021 07:58

Body shop winter jasmine body butter done. This was a gwp so wasn’t full size. Only 50ml.

justilou1 · 27/01/2021 03:46

My hoarde is out of control. I am going to do a hard cull then write an inventory. I have to harden my heart and be utterly brutal. Some of my stash is practically retro/vintage/antique/putrid. If I lived in the UK, I’d be offering it up to the Beauty Banks (not the putrid stuff, but the nice gear). I am sure there are equivalent charities.

Costacoffeeplease · 27/01/2021 10:25

More empties. Wasn’t impressed with the Delilah mascara, it was very dry. Liked the shower bomb from the H&B calendar, prob not enough to re purchase though

What do you do when you cull? Sell on eBay? Bin it?
justilou1 · 27/01/2021 11:23

I’m going to try and find somewhere to donate it. I am certain that there are charities here that take them. (There are a lot of unopened bits I’m not going to get to.) The things that have been used I think I can try to sell.

FanciedanewnameAnne · 27/01/2021 11:26

@Babysharkdoodoodood

Oh my lord. Just had the mother of all clearouts. 2 (medium sized) bin bags full of makeup, hair products and skincare. Anything older than 6 months : gone. And there was a lot. Lots of Revolution and W7 palettes that I have no idea why I bought as I have some lovely UD and Anastasia/Morphe/Chantecaile ones. So all the dupes have gone.

Still got a ridiculous amount left but it's more organised now.

But have the big rituals advent for December and just ordered the Holland & Barrett one. Mainly because of the larger sizes. I chucked so many minis!

Did you donate or sell it? I think there is a post doing the rounds of where make up and beauty products can be donated
FanciedanewnameAnne · 27/01/2021 11:28

May I ask all the experts here...only just seen this thread....

Best moisturiser ever for dry skin

Best serum ever

There is an address you can send... I am not sure where but I recently saw on a social media post....hopefully someone can share?
PusheenLove · 27/01/2021 11:43

Am I the only female on earth that prefers men's anti-perspirant? Blush It's way more potent, effective and long-lasting.

justilou1 · 27/01/2021 12:49

@FanciedanewnameAnne - I live in Aus... there aren’t as many charities willing to accept donations of toiletries and makeup at the moment. I gave a heap away prior to Christmas, but there’s more!

justilou1 · 27/01/2021 12:58

@PusheenLove - I much prefer men’s deodorant. I like the scents better, and find them more effective. I also resent paying the “pink tax” for women’s deodorants. (And razors, and body wash, etc...)

Oooh... another couple of empties to report today! Both Hada Labo (Japanese Formula, as that’s all I can get here.) The premium Alpha Arbutin Emulsion - it’s amazing for pigmentation. Gentle, hydrating, non-irritating. Has cleared up redness and melasma that’s been there for years. Also the Retinol/Collagen Gel Cream Moisturiser (Red Pot) Just lovely. (Light, Hydrating and Moisturising enough to use over tretinoin cream and through winter. Quite a small pot, but lasts for ages. Sad because I thought I had a spare. I will repurchase both of these again, but have others to plod through first.

PusheenLove · 27/01/2021 14:14

Pink tax! Good point.

An empty: Joules lip balm. Fantastic! Very moisturizing. And nice little tin.

Experiment627 · 27/01/2021 15:16

@PusheenLove if you have unopened stuff to donate worth checking if you have a Hygiene Bank near you (just put that into Google) - that is in the UK. I found a local women's shelter that will accept partially used stuff & I post them packages every now and again.

@FanciedanewnameAnne my HG night cream is the Marks & Spencer Absolute ultimate sleep cream - I sometimes (on very harsh winter days) wear during the day also... my favourite serum... well that depends what its purpose is?

I have some empties to report... my apologies if I have mentioned them before (I am getting in a bit of a muddle as am keeping all empties to make sure I have content for my You Tube channel!!!!).

  • Sukin Purely Ageless rejuvenating cream: I liked this despite it taking a bit to sink in.
  • Boots No7 Beautiful skin softening foot scrub plus also the softening heel & foot balm: I really rate the later - and am very excited to now be trying Flexitol which I have had in my stash for ages!!!!
  • Wunder2 Wunderlift 60 second wrinkle reducer: really did not like this - in fact it is not empty. EPIC FAIL! I lost all movement wherever I applied it!
-Kili G face eyes and neck mousse: this came from the H&B advent. Did not like smell or how it applied - took forever to sink in. Also my face went red whenever used so after a few tries I used up on my legs!

Sorry I cannot recall who recommend the Simple Kind To Skin Protect Light Moisturiser SPF 15 - it is great!!!! THANK YOU!
