For a size 10 woman in her early thirties FWIW, thinking of the Oak colour. I keep going back and forth... I want a stylish warm raincoat - is this as good as it gets?

I think it's nice. Would love it in a damson colour or charcoal but all the colours are good.

TheCheeseAlarm · 13/09/2020 19:13

I have it in the Oak colour. I love it. It gets loads of compliments.

Opalfruitsstrawberry · 13/09/2020 19:14

Ooh thanks @TheCheeseAlarm!

Did you size down? Lots of the reviews say it is really oversized..

I’m in my early 30s and I wouldn’t wear it. I feel it’s quite frumpy. Sorry!

Opalfruitsstrawberry · 13/09/2020 19:17

That's OK @Sasuma! I wanted honest opinions... I am torn on whether it's a bit frumpy or not. But I've found warm, waterproof, non frumpy coats basically impossible and this is one of the best I've found.

My honest opinion is it looks drab.
There are way more stylish coats of a similar style out there at the moment.
And probably cheaper.

Opalfruitsstrawberry · 13/09/2020 19:18

Please do tell @Anthilda! Would love to see them, any of them... have been looking in vain for weeks

I quite like it. With the dropped parka fishtail at the back. I would go for the charcoal colour though.

JoJoSM2 · 13/09/2020 19:22

The colour depends on what works with your complexion/hair/eyes etc.

I think it’s a great coat for walking the dog or taking children to the park etc. It would look frumpy if wearing out for a meal or something so depends on where you want to wear it.

Thehollyandtheirony · 13/09/2020 19:22

I think it’s frumpy.
Not a problem if you are just looking for a practical coat to protect you from the elements. If you are looking for something stylish then I’d keep looking.

user165423256322 · 13/09/2020 19:23

It's a bit dull.

LizzieMacQueen · 13/09/2020 19:24

It's an anorak, as long as it is genuinely waterproof not just showerproof, it will serve it's purpose. But agree with PP, there are 'cooler' (for want of a better word) out there.

celerystix · 13/09/2020 19:26

It's nice. Maybe a bit too "mumsy". I'd take my kids to the park with this on, but not anywhere else if that makes sense.

I'm also size 10, early 30s. 2 DC if that makes a difference.

SunnySummerDays · 13/09/2020 19:28

I love it! I’ve looked high and low for a waterproof coat for walking the dog and not getting soaked. I think it’s really nice and stylish. And warm .. ticks lots of my boxes! Looks nice and I love the colour!

Opalfruitsstrawberry · 13/09/2020 19:28

Thanks for all the comments... I want something practical and stylish, maybe too much to ask...

@LizzieMacQueen I’d love to see the cooler ones! Grin Anyone particular shops/brands I should look at?

I'm in my 40's and would wear that! Not that colour though. Perfect for the school run.

Hmmm yes it is rather mumsy you’re right!! Need to decide if that’s a problem or not...Wink

I'd wear it (in a different colour) but I'm 20 years older than you.

Which might be enough to put you off Grin

VaggieMight · 13/09/2020 19:32

I've got one similar from Sea Salt and it's great for bad weather. I do call it my dinner lady coat though.

JenniferSantoro · 13/09/2020 19:34

It’s very frumpy.

Suzi888 · 13/09/2020 19:35

I think it looks fine.
I’d rather look a bit ‘practical’ than turn up soaking wet and frizzy. You don’t keep your coat on once you get where you’re going! Confused

CatBatCat · 13/09/2020 19:36

Its a bit bland but it is a raincoat after all.

gubbbbbddaaaa · 13/09/2020 19:37

It's not stylish but it will jeep you dry and warm .

PegasusReturns · 13/09/2020 19:38

For that price I’d go for the protected species commuter.

It’s got an edge over the seasalt that is pushing mumsy IMO.

I’m 40+ for reference.

Georgyporky · 13/09/2020 19:39

I think it looks frumpy, & seems a lot of money for what I would call a dog-walking coat.
