Beauty Advent Calendars 2020

After a weird year, who is thinking about treating themselves? Can’t believe how quickly this has come round!

Nothing is out yet but some places are keeping waiting lists for notifications e.g. Cult Beauty. The John Lewis sneak peak looks promising. And I believe Body Shop is out the end of this month.

Any you will be looking out for? I’m thinking of splurging on a decent one this year — I had serious envy over Cult Beauty last year. I’ve also become a huge SpaceNK fan this year so I’ll have my eye out to see what they’re producing.

My big surprise hit last year was Holland and Barrett — super cheap and some brilliant items. If it’s as good this year I might end up with that as a bonus.

How did you get the Cult Beauty one? When I check online, it says In Stock Soon, so I assumed it wasn't available yet?

I ordered it last week, it arrived yesterday. Maybe they’re waiting for more stock?

So tempted by Liberty GWP, I’ve a few things (I don’t need) in my basket. I’m being forced to play Penguin trap, I’m then going to review my toiletry stash. I am back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks of annual leave, so I probably need a treat..

I'm not getting the Liberty GWP. I still have lots left of my Malle POAL from the GWP two years ago. It is a very nice gift but nothing is calling out to me. Maybe I've just had too many of the Liberty GWP/Advents as they can be similar, but IMO they are the best ones.

I'm tempted by the liberty one but I really don't need it

Just had an email saying the Look Fantastic advent calendar is ready to preorder. But haven't seen any details about the contents, has anyone else? Definitely want to see before I order.

I think I prefer the look of the Space NK GWP to the Liberty GWP - there are some lovely things in the Liberty bundle, but I think I counted 6 cleansers, and I just can't get too excited about cleansers.

I can't get excited about cleansers either although I use them like crazy. I cleanse every morning and double cleanse at night so even though they're boring I get a LOT of use out of them. Think I'll pass on both Liberty and Space NK as there is nothing I particularly want to buy right now.

The space NK GWP looks nice but lots of very small sizes. I like getting a perfume in the liberty one but it's portrait of a lady this time, which I like and already have a big bottle of

I'd had a grim year 2019 so treated myself to a No 7 one and a Yankee Candle one for the first time with an offer from Boots .
Will definitely do similar this year

The Space NK products are so tiny!! Almost all of them seem to be samples. The Liberty products are a far better size.

For the first year in a long time I'm passing on Look Fantastic. It doesn't grab me.

The Look Fantastic Advent does look good, but it seems unbalanced that there are 5/6 items for oily/blemish prone skin. I know it has a younger demographic than Liberty or Boots No 7 , but even in my twenties I never had oily skin.

Anyone else wish there was a perfect Advent calendar where you could pick your five favourite items from all the top calendars?

@Housewife2010 that would be fantastic. I have participated in the swap thread on here. 1 of the products I received looked like it had been opened last year though and possibly replaced with something wise as it was a different colour. So I’d only now swap if the product is sealed.

That isn't nice. Last year I decided against Liberty because there was only about four items I really wanted. I bought three of them on eBay. I wouldn't have been happy if they had looked used though.

I’ve swapped a few things the past 2 years, everything else was fine. It was a face oil.

I found the swap thread useful last year so hopefully we'll be doing that again. Is the full rundown of the Look Fantastic calendar available yet? I need to choose between that and Glossybox as I have credit saved up I could use on either of those.

I can't see anything on the Space Nk site about a gift with purchase
