Beauty Advent Calendars 2020

After a weird year, who is thinking about treating themselves? Can’t believe how quickly this has come round!

Nothing is out yet but some places are keeping waiting lists for notifications e.g. Cult Beauty. The John Lewis sneak peak looks promising. And I believe Body Shop is out the end of this month.

Any you will be looking out for? I’m thinking of splurging on a decent one this year — I had serious envy over Cult Beauty last year. I’ve also become a huge SpaceNK fan this year so I’ll have my eye out to see what they’re producing.

My big surprise hit last year was Holland and Barrett — super cheap and some brilliant items. If it’s as good this year I might end up with that as a bonus.

@doadeer You don’t have it yet, but will do automatically when they restock (which is when they’ll charge you). They will restock so I think it’s guaranteed you will get it and of course it’ll be for the discounted price if you used the discount code for subscribers.

@doadeer I got the same email. Assuming/hoping it’s just an automated thing with it being a preorder. I paid by PayPal so they’ve already taken the money

Ah yes I did choose next day as it was free. I can see it's in my orders and I have a number but ndulge points haven't updated yet.

They must be restocking. They couldn't sell out in a couple of hours in Sept that would be silly

I Facebooked H&B to ask if I would be getting the calendar or not and have received a stock answer of gobbledegook. I order a lot from h&b and have to say they're like the Ryanair of vitamins. When it goes well, it goes well. When it doesn't, they're useless. They never did explain to me why instead of a jar of coconut oil I received 6 litres of cherry juice

I am hoping that delayed as they weren't suppose to have them in stock before 1st of October. It's pre order.

out of stock probably as they didn't want to allow the discount on pre order, I would say it was a glitch

Having been pleased that my H&B calendar came quickly, I’ve just opened the outer box to find one of the advent doors off and the product from that day missing

I’m going to have to check off all the numbers remaining to see which number is missing. Unless any of you with one can helpfully tell me what number the box to the right (as you’re looking at it) of no.25 is?

Oh and the door of no.6 has just fallen off and there’s no product in there either. Am going to email and complain.

I’ve worked out it’s No.8 that’s missing.

ASOS is now on 15% student discount so have ordered the 12 day to glam up my H&B Advent which arrived today. Now I think I am done unless a Debenhams style discount comes up on the count down to Christmas, maybe see what Black Friday offers.....

@doadeer I got the same too and asked for next day delivery. I think it’s just because it’s a pre-order and obviously they can’t fulfil next day on it.

I've just ordered The White Company advent calendar , I had a discount code to use , So had £24 off , which made it much more reasonable at £136 ( so I might get another one ... still thinking about it ... )

Apparently my H&B is out for delivery again looking at my order.

I bought SIL a Harrods one just before Christmas last year, when it was half price for about half a second!

Got the Elle one for DD for the last two years and she's loved it, but also loved the ASOS Jadvent () one last year. Think I might treat her!

Annoyingly, Boots has removed the advent calendars from the 3 for 2 offer this year - they have always been in the offer before. I was thinking of buying Soap & Glory along with some Xmas gifts but I don't think I'll bother now.

I love the look of the Harrods box possibly even more than the content. If it went to half price it would be hard to resist! But I might have a look to see if anyone puts their empty calendar on Ebay after Christmas and get that for future use.

That's reminded me that I have an empty Liberty and two empty John Lewis advent boxes to put on eBay. My H&B has just arrived. A couple of windows at the back are slightly damaged but not open. The box is huge.

Are bored H & B warehouse staff wrestling with these boxes do we think?

Ah that's a good point, mine says on the way, and due to arrive by next Tuesday! Hopefully in one piece going by what others have had.
