Beauty Advent Calendars 2020

After a weird year, who is thinking about treating themselves? Can’t believe how quickly this has come round!

Nothing is out yet but some places are keeping waiting lists for notifications e.g. Cult Beauty. The John Lewis sneak peak looks promising. And I believe Body Shop is out the end of this month.

Any you will be looking out for? I’m thinking of splurging on a decent one this year — I had serious envy over Cult Beauty last year. I’ve also become a huge SpaceNK fan this year so I’ll have my eye out to see what they’re producing.

My big surprise hit last year was Holland and Barrett — super cheap and some brilliant items. If it’s as good this year I might end up with that as a bonus.

Reading the reviews of the basic Revolution advent calendar always amuses me. You can see what you're getting and how much it is, so why give it a bad review if you think it's not worth the money? And too many lip products? Does such a thing exist? (Considering I bought the lip advent calendar they did in 2018, and the one NYX did last year I can safely say no. But I'm a lipstick junkie, sooo.... )

I'm really struggling to decide what to get. I've had ASOS the last two years so was adamant I wasn't getting it this year, but actually it looks like one of the better value ones. It's been good both years, just fancy a change though. Feelunique and Glossybox are contenders too.

Or do I treat myself with Space NK or Selfridges? Really cannot decide. I like that most of them are including candles/bath bombs etc as well as skincare and makeup.

The Star Revolution one could be good, depending how low the price goes. Maybe for Jadvent.

H&B now available to buy

I pounced on H&B as soon as I got the email! I managed to get a good deal on it too by using my rewards card and Quidco cashback. Such a good deal that I might be in the market for another calendar

Would anyone be interested in a H&B discussion/swap thread?

I got H&B too, £32 with student discount and free delivery, which is amazing! I've been struggling to balance my course with work but for once it's come in useful haha.

I am going to stick with glossybox and H&B though, happy with those 2 no matter how tempting any others are!

So glad I saw H&B in my promotions box! It was fantastic last year- can't wait for this years!

H&B not available in Ireland yet but at least it's now on the website. I've asked to be notified when it comes in.

After heaps of consideration and much consulting of this thread, I've finally gone for the Rituals calendar and Body Shop one, both the entry level ones.
Last year's H&B was amazing for the price and I remember getting 10% off it as well! I just fancied more body care products than make up this year and my menopausal skin is too volatile currently to try new face creams!
Thanks to whomever mentioned the Rituals one. Hadn't thought of it, excited to receive it.

Just got the Holland & Barrett one to replace M&S!

Got 20% off H&B this morning with code ‘DEALS’, so it was £32 with free p&p 😊. Still unsure of what else to go for.........

I’ve cracked and ordered the H and B for myself. I deserve it ! Couldn’t get any codes to work for me but hey ho. Still a bargain by the looks of it, especially if it all gets used. I haven’t worn much makeup for months so it would be put away for the foreseeable.

@Babysharkdoodoodood I did the same! Still, at least we have something lovely for advent now. I am also considering ASOS 12 day but only if they give me the student discount code which apparently needs to be manually authenticated for me. If I goes on much longer with customer services and that code I am going to give up, so maybe better I didn’t try with H&B. Yes please for the discussion thread!

@CountryCob asos did have a few £s off their calendar earlier anyway as part of a promo.

I knew it would go quickly, especially given that M&S aren't doing one this year, so there's not much in the under £50 market but that really is super quick! Hopefully they'll get more stock in for those who have missed out.

I'm so excited, just taken delivery of my Rituals one (£59) Might your mum like this one? It looks AMAZING, really luxe looking and a good sized range of bath and body products, plus mini candles. I'm so impressed for the price, it looks stunning.
