@ellapaella that jumper!!! So gorgeous!

Softpebbles · 02/09/2020 20:20

I don’t know whether this is a good thing or not but I’ve just ordered two things from hush with a view of wearing with tights and boots.

Fingers crossed as I seem to not be getting things right lately in the shopping stakes.

Thanks for the jumper love.
Love both your purchases @Softpebbles - as you know I love a bit of Hush. I've just got the coated jeans and they are fabulous!

It was worth it, @Ellapaella - it's a beautiful jumper! I really want a Toast jumper for this winter but I think I'll have to wait until payday...

Couldn't get a good photo this morning but I'm wearing Hush trousers and a merino top from Zara. It's hard to wear because it's sleeveless but wool: if it's cold enough for the wool then my arms freeze, but if it's warm enough for a sleeveless top then my torso overheats 😂

Ellapaella · 03/09/2020 07:51

@itssquidstella I'm finding the problem with this time of year is you need a completely different outfit for the cold mornings and evenings to the rest of the day when it warms up!
I like your top.

itssquidstella · 03/09/2020 07:52

@Ellapaella yes I agree! I get changed as soon as I get home from work, though, so that helps - although the temptation then is to put my pyjamas on at 7pm!

Softpebbles · 03/09/2020 07:57

@Ellapaella that jumper is lovely. I can see you getting lots of wear out of it.

Wearing my dungarees today. I don’t wear them often but that’s because I’m not sure about them / not confident in them. Will wear will some new balance when I walk the dog.

I know exactly what you mean @Ellapaella and I notice it so much more being at home rather than in the office. Today I’m trying to solve the problem by wearing a very old gilet. I’m not sure it quite works, but at least I’m warm! I’ve also dug out my DMs for the first time this autumn.

LS top: Primark
Gilet: Karen Millen
Jeans: Jigsaw
Boots: Doc Martens

@softpebbles I think you look great in the dungarees.
I love the hush skirt so much I have just ordered it! 😁 😂
Looks very versatile.
Currently wearing workout gear as just come back from the gym

Rollerbird · 03/09/2020 08:09

@oubliettebravo I really like your jigsaw jeans. What fit is that called? Straight leg?
Comfort is key for sure at this time of year!
Can't wait to break out some winter stuff.

OublietteBravo · 03/09/2020 08:16

@Rollerbird - they’re the Hampton slim boyfriend jeans (at least I think I’ve remembered that correctly). I got them in the sale at the start of the summer.

Sooverthemill · 03/09/2020 08:45

Love the jumper @Ellapaella ( off to look!). And the outfit in its entirety.
We are still having fun with the kitchen and I am knackered! My entire budget for everything is going this week on new white goods as we needed them anyway and I e decided to move utility into garage so had to get different kind of tumble dryer. My life is so exciting!

I decided I had to get wear out of more summer stuff before I pack it away though tbh these trousers go through winter quite well. Fat face sent me the correct jeans yesterday but now I seem not to have paid for them!
Tee: white stuff promotional from when they opened the shop here ( Southwold sur mer )
Chinos: old Boden
Sandals: Birkenstock

Sooverthemill · 03/09/2020 08:50

@OublietteBravo they are the Hampton I have them too.
@Softpebbles you look fab and those hush buys look great.
@Sickoffamilydrama I always wanted to be tall! I'm 5'1
@itssquidstella I'm always in pjs by 7! I feed DD which is my last big job of the day and I get changed straight after. Then I veg in front of TV unless she needs me or wants company until 9.30 bedtime. When we very occasionally go out ( this year once!) I feel very odd in actual clothes past 7! In hospital I wait for the staff changeover then do it! When I worked F/T I put jogging bottoms on straight from work

OublietteBravo · 03/09/2020 08:55

How is your DD at the moment @Sooverthemill?

Sickoffamilydrama · 03/09/2020 09:20

@Sooverthemill looking stylish even if your kitchen is in chaos.
@itssquidstella I know what you mean with those tops why oh why do they do it it's like think wool dresses with capped sleeves, you either boil or your arms freeze.
@Softpebbles wear the dungarees more often they suit you.
I should wear this more often
Jumpsuit Tesco ( I think it looks way more expensive)
Long sleeved top H&M

Sooverthemill · 03/09/2020 09:53

@OublietteBravo she's really not very well. Had a pain crisis a couple of weeks ago and been trying to settle that down. Am in daily contact with GP. Unfortunately the noise from the kitchen is not helping at all and I'm in agonies of guilt about it. No way of predicting she would be so bad at this point ( not at all predictable). The noise causes her physical pain as does light and nurse is coming tonight to check on her ( because I thunk she went into shock with pain). But today should be the last day of unrelenting noise of floor being dug up and old floor lifted then it's just drilling and hammering stuff. I never know what to do. All our life is on hold. And today is the 7 year anniversary of her waking up like this

coffeeandcardigans · 03/09/2020 12:57

Sorry to hear your daughter is so unwell @Sooverthemill it must be very difficult.
I like your dungarees @Softpebbles and the gilet @OublietteBravo
Also, I may have said this before but you have a stunning collection of jumpsuits @Sickoffamilydrama They really suit you!

Boring contributions from me today- yesterday in the office, stripey jumper: Oasis, Jeans: Gap; today just grabbed nearest clothes as I was running late to drop DS to the childminders- T shirt: COS and same jeans as yesterday. Lovely and sunny here for a change :)

@sooverthemill that's sad to hear. My own daughter struggles with noise after a brain injury. I can partially relate.

Ellapaella · 03/09/2020 17:48

@Softpebbles that top is perfect for under dungarees, where is it from?

OP posts:

Trousers Monki
Trainers Veja
Jumper is Hush

@Ellapaella All saints in December.

I am really starting to love your Trainers. The more I see them. Are they canvas or leather.

I sent my high tops back. Was too unsure. And I’m still waiting for a new pair of doc martens to arrive 😬

I could just do with a lovely shopping trip to actually look and try things on rather than ordering all the time and sending back. Covid sure has stopped even the small things that could be enjoyed. (Ps I know there are far far worse things in the world just sometimes it’s the little things that I miss)

Re autumn/winter I don’t need any coats this year. I have a brand new North-face parka ready for winter that I got in the sale last year. I had one that was too big for me so I need to list on eBay as I’ve not worn for the last two winters due to it being too big. I am going to get my clothes out of the loft this weekend I think and get rid of what doesn’t fit etc. I don’t really need boots either if I am being totally honest. Especially as I’m WFH and not really going anywhere.

@Sooverthemill hope that the noise settles for DD. You are such an inspiration, always so positive and never moan at what must be complex circumstances. X

Ellapaella · 03/09/2020 20:11

@Softpebbles they are leather. Very comfy and good for wide feet like mine.

Sickoffamilydrama · 03/09/2020 21:44

Sorry @Sooverthemill that your DD is having a difficult time Flowers

Some of my next order came and think it will be no to all of them although I'll try the straight legs tomorrow in the daylight,
Pic 1, The flares are to long and do an annoying dip at the back.
Pic 2,The straight legs I'm not sure if they would be better with a higher up waist.
Pic 3, I'm really not sure about the mint velvet ones I like the height of the waist but the tapering is probably to extreme and not sure of the back view 😂
