Zara top today with Hush jeans and rose gold Birkenstocks for an exciting trip to the big Tesco and B&Q 😂

@Ellapaella I live in Bicester, I know Arncott well to drive through my mum lives in one of the villages nearby. Bicester village used to have more high street stores it's now mostly higher end so not as good value it was great when it had coast, Monsoon and Karen Millen.

If you haven't visited recently the new Westgate shopping centre in Oxford is nice can't believe they fitted that in place of the 70s car park that was there!

@Sickoffamilydrama that's a lovely dress but I agree, the belt needs to sit higher. I'd probably go for a slightly thicker belt too, but others may disagree.

I haven't visited the new Westgate centre yet but I'd really like to. I was at uni there when the big Primark opened in the old Westgate - that was an exciting day!

I used to go to Bicester! I got my £35 wedding dress there.

Small world! Don't think you'd get much for £35 there now @Sooverthemill maybe an ice cream 🤣 there is a few of the middle price range shops there but mostly I find it's items reduced from a few thousand to a thousand which is great if that is what you normally spend but I prefer my bargains a bit cheaper.....or I'm just tight.

@Sickoffamilydrama yes I visited the Westgate when I was staying with my parents over Christmas, I was very impressed. We went to the lovely street food hall for lunch and I spent a small fortune on my teenager in Urban Outfitters, he was clever enough to wait until I'd had a glass of wine with my lunch to lure me in there! When I was a teenager we would get the train into Oxford and go to Miss Selfridge, Topshop, body shop and there was an amazing little shop called Tiger Lily just opposite the Westgate centre that sold incense and tie dye clothes. It was one of my favourite places to spend my pocket money..
I'm old enough to remember the big C&A in the Westgate that later turned into Mark One (was kind of like Primark before Primark came along).

@Judystilldreamsofhorses lovely dress. Do you live somewhere cooler, it’s too hot for long sleeves at the moment in the South West (although menopause may also be to blame here)!

@Sickoffamilydrama I think the belt needs to be higher. Also I’d personally go with something thicker and a bit of a bolder colour.

I have got a mulberry purse, some le cruset bits (which I managed to break), a white stuff cardigan (that I managed to shrink) and a beautiful Burberry Mac (that I managed to lose) from Bicester.

I avoid it now. Sigh.

@sickoffamilydrama the dress is perfect without the belt - and I normally love a belt.

I have been lurking on these threads for YONKS and I now have the courage to poke my head above the parapet...please may I join?
