Sorry I never wear jeans as they are too uncomfortable for me but you look great in those jeans! Re warm socks I've bought wool socks for years for my freezing feet but have recently discovered BAM bamboo socks which are much cosier (and soft and comfortable)

@Lobsterquadrille2 - my favourite skinny jeans come from Gap. They’re several years old though.

I’m in painting clothes today (except the jumper). DS is back from his boarding house awaiting the results of yesterday’s Covid test (he’s lost his sense of smell - no other symptoms, not even loss of taste). So I’m stuck in the house. (DD and DS spent last night at a hotel so that they’re not included in the isolation if the result is positive). And since I’m not going anywhere I thought I should try and finish the decorating I started in May.

Ok, I gave in to the leggings, but it is rainy cold Saturday and even the dog won’t leave the house, lol. Saddo leggings are from Sainsbury’s I think, with camisole from Marks and crop jumper from All Saints. Going to snuggle on the sofa with the bf and stay warm!

@Purplecatshopaholic looks a very cosy outfit. No pictures from me today as my chest of drawers is being fixed so clothes all over the floor. I'm wearing a stripy maroon jigsaw jumper, black skinny jeans from H&M and my new black Nike internationalists. With my black trench coat when I went out earlier.
I plan on sorting my wardrobe out tomorrow and putting away my summer clothes.

Love it @Rollerbirda and the cosy outfit @Purplecatshopaholic. @Lobsterquadrille2 they look great I'm sure lots of styles would suit you why don't you order and return a load like I did? I used Next so also didn't have to worry about spending loads then waiting for the money to be returned. I always thought I'd only wear one style but I've now got a few options weirdly it was the ones I wasn't sure on and ordered just to give them a go that I love the most.

Prior to this I was in under armour leggings and a technical top, coupled with a Barbour coat for walking the dog. 🤦‍♀️

@OublietteBravo I really like the way you look in jeans (which might be different to liking the jeans themselves). I wandered fruitlessly round town, did as a PP suggested and trawled the Next site and am none the wiser. I think I have large hips compared with my ankles, so I look odd. Maybe Levi's would work? Might try eBay. No idea of size though 😳.

I am seeing your figure differently to your perception of yourself @Lobsterquadrille2 you have a slim hourglass figure so highwaisted will work because they are often nipped in at the waist. Having seen you style I think you are usually fairly smart so how about these? The Boden ones may well be more suitable for summer.

Tape measure is being sought ..... much appreciated for ideas outside of the skinny jean sausage tied up look!!!

@Lobsterquadrille2 I'm pretty sure you could get away with most jeans. You have a great figure. If you want to splash out you can't go wrong with citizens of humanity jeans.

@Sickoffamilydrama some excellent eBaying and I love the jumper and jacket together.

I took DD and the dog to a gun dog and game fair today at the local show ground. It was just lovely to be outside with lots of people but really spaced out (massive show ground, smaller fair) Dog wishes he was a gun dog. In his dreams. We did mini agility instead which was loads of fun and also proved he's probably not an agility dog either.

Basically went in my dog walking outfit with a scarf, less holey jumper and most (some) of the mud wiped off.

Everyone is looking fab, as ever. Thanks very much for the kind messages. I'm ok, a family member very unexpectedly passed away at the start of the week, so it's been a pretty horrid time all round. It still feels a bit surreal. Work is busy, so I'm distracting myself with DS, clothes and work and it's not really sunk in yet. DH is home now, at least.

Hi everyone! Work has been really busy this week so I fell off the thread for a few days. I’ve seen some great outfits scrolling through just now; I especially liked @Ellapaella's Barbour hat and @Shannith's free haul!

SportPursuit is a great website for discounted running and ski wear: I got some brilliant ski socks from there last year.

I hope @toastfiend and @Sooverthemill are doing okay.

We're off for a Sunday roast with my best friend, her husband and baby in a bit. I'm wearing Topshop mom jeans and my new &Other Stories jumper :)

So my new docs arrived and put them on. Felt quite good and then DH said they are different colours so I have emailed them. One is a lot more vibrant in colour than the other. Grrr
